So I might be missing information on some of this but I want to figure out if I should save up and buy gold REQ packs or start with some bronze and silver.
I know that you won’t get duplicate armors which I do like to collect, but if you buy a gold REQ pack are you guaranteed a rare armor? I don’t want to save up for golds if I will be getting a bunch of uncommon armors. I am thinking if I buy some bronze and silvers first I will get some of the uncommon armors and therefore increase my chances of rare armors when I buy gold REQ packs later.
To clarify the math: if there are 100 armors and 10 of those are rare, when I buy a gold REQ first, do I have a 10 in 100 (10%) chance of getting a rare.
If I instead first buy a bunch of bronze and silver and get 60 of the lower armors do I then have a 10 in 40 (25%) chance of getting a rare.
Sorry if there is more info available on this already but I couldn’t find it. Any help is appreciated
Does this help you at all?

You have a better chance and better REQs with Gold Packs than Silver or Bronze. No way are you getting anything super sick in a Silver or Bronze pack.
Buy silvers if you want to unlock all of the cosmetics first, you’ll be earning all of the the permanent reqs twice as fast and eventually you will also unlock the rares because it will run out of uncommons and just yield rares in the end.(assuming you haven’t got them already)
But if you want all of the cute high end single use weapons for warzone while still getting half of the permanent cosmetics, then buy the golds.

Gold: Gold REQ Packs contain a large number of REQs ranging from Uncommon to Legendary. Players are guaranteed two new permanent REQs, if available.(UPDATE) Silver: Silver REQ Packs include Common to Rare REQs with the added value of two new permanent REQs, if available.
Bronze: Bronze REQ Packs include Common, single use REQs, but is likely to unlock a new permanent REQ, if available.
So this is where my question originated actually lol. so both silver and gold give 2 permanent REQs. but gold cost twice as much as silver. so with 20000 REQ i could get 2 (uncommon-Legendary) REQs from gold or 4 (Common-Rare) REQs from silver. so i feel like I should buy some silver to get some of the Uncommon and Rare out of the way to give me a better chance of getting legendary when I decide to save up for gold.
Maybe I am thinking too much and should just get gold to start with, IDK.
what do you all plan to do?

Ok, your logic seems to be along the same lines as I was thinking
It will all be free to you eventually, just play the game. Also, the prices are pretty low, nothing to save up for.

Yea, unfortunately tho I have a job and gf who likes traveling so my gameplay time needs to be managed. I can forum post at work but I might get in trouble when I bring in the xbox
Yeah, you just have to play, REQ’s prices arent’ that high, and you’ll be able to unlock every item eventualy.
Have fun guys.
L@mouf !!!
Only buy bronze if you really want some REQs for Warzone and don’t care if they are something like the mongoose or needler. Save up for Silver or Gold.
I was planning on getting only golds as legendaries are involved but it might seem like a good idea just to get silvers until you unlock all the permanent reqs you want
I was a gold snob, but I am going to switch to silver for a while now
can you snag legendary weapons if you havent gotten the certification for them yet? i was just strictly buying golds but someone on here said that you have to buy bronze packs to get the certification for those weapons.
on a side note ive bought more gold packs than bronze and i think all together ive had 60 mongooses already!

unless you want nothing but geese, needlers, and the occasional common gun, (shotgun, saw) then STAY AWAY FROM BRONZE PACKS. only get those after you have a BUNCH of common certifications, then you might get a bunch of shotguns and other useful reqs.
343 isn’t stupid, they wouldn’t make two other packs if you could just get gold packs for better stuff. Of course you can get better stuff in gold but you have a lesser chance if you go only for gold. There are limited certifications and items so in the bronze pack there is a bigger chance to get certifications so as long as you work on that and work your way up to gold, you will have a better chance of getting more rare, ultra rare, and legendary items.
I believe the general thought is go Silver for a long time, then finish off with gold.
Been going with silver and have been getting good unlocks, will probably play this week out then move on to Golds to see how it works

I chuckled when I read this.
I buy a lot of them bronze req packs to unlock permanent reqs for warzone. Got a lot of AR reqs from them. Still looking for that DMR though
My recommendation is if you have a lot of common cards left to get then buy bronze as it seems you get a card 80% of the time, meaning for 10k you get 6.4 permanent cards, where as you can get guaranteed cards in silver but only 4 and you get commons in that so your spending extra RP for items that aren’t as “valuable” I have 35ish commons left to unlock and I started with 45 left earlier today. then when you go to silver you will get only green-blue cards (uncommon-rare) bettering your odds.
