So I was just going around rewatching the Halo 5: Guardians teaser (As any good Halo fan) and I noticed something. At the end of the trailer it shows all the “Halo Master Chief Pieces” coming together. As an artist and someone who pays attention to detail I noticed that the background looks as if an explosion went off and theres pieces flying everywhere, and the pieces that have the Halo games on them are noticeably shinier. What if the “Pieces” are actually from Chief’s broken visor??? Like those pieces represent his cracked visor.
I’m a little uncertain which teaser/trailer you’re refering to, the 2013 one or the more recent one which has Locke in it?

I know what happened.
He was driving a Mongoose, stuck behind a Mammoth on the freeway. The Mammoth’s tire kicked back a pebble that hit Chief’s visor and cracked it. His insurance company would only cover cracks and chips the size of a half-dollar coin, any larger than that, they said he’d have to just replace his whole damn windshield … I mean visor … and he said “I pay you guys how much a month? Never had an accident and for what? You still haven’t fixed the dent in the fender … I mean, chest-piece … from when I crashed back down to Earth, which wasn’t even my fault!” But alas, they wouldn’t fix it.
He said “screw it” and drove around … I mean, wore his broken visor … anyway out of spite because he couldn’t afford to replace the visor himself, and he ended up getting a ticket for driving around … I mean, Spartan-ing around … with an unsafe cracked visor. Now he’s got to pay a fine on top of the cost of replacing the stupid windshield … visor … because he was dumb and went with liability instead of full coverage insurance.
