Hello guys. I’ve been playing Halo multiplayer since Halo 2 and I feel as if Halo 5 has a particular issue compared to those games matchmaking wise. In the older Halo games, 75% of the time I would be put in matches with people of similar skill of mine. But with Halo 5, I feel as if only 25% of my matches are fair in regards to my placement rank wise in matchmaking games. I am accross the board a platinum ranked player but in Halo 5, in almost every game I’m the lone platinum on the team (maybe one other platinum on the other team) facing players who are either diamond or Onxy rank. Even when I search for games using the focused search tool I get these results. Does anyone else have similar issues? This continuing problem leads me to believe that the matchmaking system is broke or the Halo 5 player population is low.
I’m pretty sure it’s a combination of both of the problems you listed. And there’s the lack of party restrictions, which was key to H2/H3 match-making, so full teams can get matched against 4 randoms. Great stuff.
I get some of the same. I’m a platinum guy too and see enough diamond and onyx than I care to see.
