Bringing Back Party Up Feature in Matchmaking

I was playing some Halo 3 on the 360, trying to relive the old glory days before the servers are shut down (still trying to cope with this fact :sob:) and I totally forgot that there was a party up option for everybody in the post-game lobby. If you wanted to party up with the people that you just met last game and continue playing with them, you could. I personally would love it if this feature came back in Infinite, what do you all think?

PS: Also realized after I wrote this that there really isn’t a pre-game or post-game system in Infinite at all really. I would personally love it if they brought this kind of system back as well, complete with map and game type voting, and the veto option as well. Curious as to what the rest of the community thinks on this topic.

It’s not there to pretty much get you to look at the shop more. Probably also why it doesn’t just auto search for you again.

Pre/post game lobbies were the best, even if most of the time it was just trash talking. Met a lot of cool people.

Id rather not have the COD style of voting game type/ map though. Last thing you’d want is to have a favorite map never picked, or have everyone only pick one single map every time. That just promotes players to leave if its a map/ game they dont want before the game even starts.

Anything that can encourage people to party up is a good thing in my books.

Not exactly sure if the map/vetoing system was pioneered by CoD, but I can understand your point to a degree. Personally though, I never used to quit just because it was a game type and map I didn’t like. Can’t speak for everyone else though of course.

Wholeheartedly agree. I managed to get into a BTB game the other day, and it was one of those games where everyone was in game chat. I had no real way to reach out to them and continue playing with them after the game was over.

Of course I could have gone to recent players using the Xbox UI, but to have a post game lobby where you can just press X to party up and move on to the next game would be great.

The party up system was great. Lot of good teams were just build after a match. Would be great to have it back.
