As a Halo veteran, I genuinely miss playing Halo as an elite. I almost always played as an elite during multiplayer. Playing as a spartan is cool, getting armors is cool. But not everyone wants to always play as a spartan.
I am very aware that a elite player model would cause balancing issues, and probably a few other issues, like player animations, and not to mention, it would be time consuming to make the actual animations, and models.
Here’s my idea, everyone wins.
-No elites for competitive games, but social playlists/gamemodes are allowed elites. Anything that isn’t competitive, Elites can be playable.
-Elites can open a whole new door to new armor, assassination, helmets, and other REQ’s. Not only would 343 and Bungie benefit immensely from this, but I think elites should be in almost every Halo game. It’s like splitscreen.

But back to the point, Elites to me, have been a huge part of Halo. And Halo is one of my favorite game franchises to date. I’m aware 343 said they would not add Elites for Halo 5, but hey, we are customers, the players. And we should be more than welcome to request/complain.
