Bring the original warthog gun sound back!

When watching the BTB gameplay yesterday I can’t help but think the warthog gun sounds a bit pathetic… Kinda more like a full auto BB gun!
343 if you read these forums please consider something closer to the classic warthog gun sound from 1,2 and 3… This would really make the warhog sound great again!

It’s hard to tell the audio with the compression and it being on a stream. Hopefully tomorrow we can get the full experience with it to find out more.

Edit: I listened to them again and it sounds like an automatic gun such as the m249.

Which is not great cuz the Hog M41 (same as the Aliens M41a Pulse Rifle lol) turret fire .50 for it’s ammunition. That’s a beefy sound. The m249 pnlys fires a 5.56 which it sounds good, but compared to a 7.62 or 50… Yeah

The m249 and m240 don’t sound too differently. I shot them quite often in the military. In a video game you don’t want it to sound like a 50 cal since your ears would bleed because of it being so loud at a constant rate of fire and it would drown out all sounds.

Check out the Gau 19b. It’s basically the Warthog turret but higher rate of fire. But if we are hearing the audio through the ears of our Spartan character then we have a air sealed helmet on that definitely have noise protection. So honestly it doesnt have to be loud through game audio, just beefy

I don’t want it to sound like automatic sniper shots like some Halo 2 mod lol. I could get behind a tiny bit more beefy, but just slightly.

I mean the main difference from a machine gun and a sniper is the sniper is louder because it’s one shot. A machine gun is loud, but each shot gets drowned out be the follow up shot. A continuous loud noise isn’t as loud as a single fast sound.

But I get your point.

The fact you’re going to that sort of length to defend it is ridiculous. Why does it matter if we playing from the perspective of Spartans? That doesn’t seem to effect or have any bearing on the rest of gun sound effects? So why does it suddenly defend the warthog turret?? Stop clutching at straws and admit that it sounds pathetic.

Lmfao did you even read what I wrote? I said it DOES need to be beefed up

That isn’t a question?
You don’t have to write like this?
Stop abusing question marks?

Emphasizing confusion at the end of a statement exists lol.
