I really hope the Flood is back in Halo 4.
As much as I don’t really want to see them in this game(Halo4), they will most likely have something to do with it.
I just kinda want a break from the flood.

We need something new and more horrible than the Flood. What if the Flood was created by someone to fight the enemies that will be found in Halo 4. The Flood could have been created to attack the Forerunners. The enemies in Halo 4 could be the creators of the Flood.
New ideas, expand the Halo universe.
Pretty sure the floods origin is being explained in small doses with the Forerunner saga. Also from what I’ve heard the Flood will most likely be in Halo4.
I think it, too. We need a new evil/horror enemy for Halo, if it is possible. Always the unknown things are frightening. And iam not sure if it still fits to the flood.
That don´t means I dont want to see the flood in Halo anymore.

I like the Idea of beeing allied with the flood (but sure: not friends).And not all the time.
Also I think the flood should stay the ‘big unknown’… but without it`s horror part. There we need something new (imo).
Always the unknown things makes humans afraid, not the brutal but known things.
I can say you, even if it is the worst nightmare, if you get familiar to it…and you understand it, it stops to beeing frightening. So thats why we dont need the flood as horror enemy. But I would like to see them as mysterious thing in a new storyline… that also means it needs some “new” confusing elements… so you ask yourself (again): “who the f*ck are they?” or: “what the hell is that?” and: “Is it not the evil enemy we always thought?” etc.pp.
Don´t understand me wrong: i want to see some fights against the flood, sure. And i want to see tons dead of them, sure. I don´t said you can ally with it like humans did with the elites…
But as “Horror”-enemy they become ‘stump’; forgetting them is also not a solution: because it would look like they were weak → and that means your victory over them was only a small victory.
I’ve alot of experience with antagonists and enemys in storylines. Can´t talk detailed over it… but… just belive me. 
I hate the flood. I hope they never return.

We’ve had a long break from them though, 2 games in fact (ODST/Reach). Time for them to show up again IMO, but I’m biased in that I’ve always liked them. They make for some of the more manic moments in the Halo games.
I would love for Flood to return, but they need to be revamped a bit. Different classes of Combat Forms, and more interesting experiences. Most flood encounters in past games were pretty similar and got boring fast (Halo 2 especially).

I don’t think we will see the flood sadly. The enemy/ies we are fighting ar supposed to be something new. I doubt they will be forerunner because we were in a way their ‘favourite species’. Precursors I am pretty sure there is only one left. We will have to wait and see my friend.
The Flood is epic! 
I do NOT want to see the flood in the campaign. At the least if they are there, it should be as specimens or caged so that you can only look at them and there is no danger of escape from them or having to fight them.
I want a NEW enemy. Forerunner is my guess.
However since this is a shield world, it could be possible that other races that we have not yet seen have infiltrated this world and MC will meet up/fight against them.
In any case, no flood for me please.

I have heard of a race which did create the flood. They are called the precursors and were to the forerunners what the forerunners are to the covenant. They are said to pre-date the forerunners and are meant to have even better technology. Moreover they are meant to have created the flood to rid the world of the forerunners.
This may all be rumors but they are mentioned in alot of you tube video’s regarding possible halo 4,5&6 enemies, and answer alot of questions. This could also explain the teaser trailer where a strange shaped monster is revealed.
