bring mods to consoles?

I believe that people playing Halo 5 forge on the PC can make mods right? If they can’t then 343i should totally add them. Anyway, what if you could use and download mods that are fun for custom games with your friends onto your console? Not only would this b fun for you but it could possibly give 343i a chance to see what people want added by checking the most popular file share? What do you guys think, should 343i give mods to the console players?

Bethesda’s doing it with Skyrim, so why not? Not really sure what kind of mods could be made work for a FPS, but I’d like to find out.

That’d be really interesting to see. Haven’t seen any good Halo Mod’s since the old Halo 2 days on original Xbox

Hell yes they should. Bethesda is doing this with Fallout 4 and Skyrim, Avalanche said they’d look at it for their games. I fully expect more developers to follow suit.

however much it would be nice to have mods in halo, if i remember correctly discussion of mods is agains the forums coc.

I read over the forum rules again and I didn’t see anything saying that you can’t talk about mods.

There is a rule about discussing modding or hacking. I’m not sure if it applies here.

I personally would like to see the SPV3 mod brought to the console. I’ve seen the tyrants playthrough of it and it looks like a really interesting redo of the CE campaign. That was kind of what I wanted when they announced CEA. I thought they’d add some stuff; new levels, new weapons, maybe assassinations, and fix the flood sniper rifle glitch. I was a bit disappointed when I found out it was just a remaster.

Modding has too much potential to just sweep it under the rug and expect players to forget about it. Bethesda has the right idea.

Sure, why not? Hell, I think it could be neat to get some test playlists with mods incorporated into them.

good to know, thanks. lol wasn’t entirely sure if it was against coc or not. i really would enjoy seeing a mod that turned the halo 5 enemy models into the halo 2 models.

Yes! I would love to see this! Mods are great! When you are bored of a game you can add more content to it, when the game is bugged you can find a mod to work around it.

I vote no. Because there are some really bad (sexual, nudity) mods and I don’t want to be added to SAFE console games.
