Bring Marty back - halo infinite soundtrack is amazing

So I want to start with praising the halo infinite soundtrack. The music and sound of infinite is amazing. The soundtrack is familiar yet different and the composer’s did an excellent job.

The only thing I don’t like is how it was implemented in the campaign. Some songs you don’t hear unless you’re Ina ncertainnarea on the map. I believe many of the songs were missing in the main campaign missions. This is probably a fault in some of the linear mission designs as well but that’s a different topic.

This post is to ask 343 to bring Marty back. Imagine having him do new music along with the 3 composers now? Imagine Gareth with Marty along with Joel and Curtis?

Maybe if Marty didn’t prove to the industry that he was liability. I can’t believe all those Halo tubers still give him the time of day. He’s responsible for all the unsavory decisions in H3 just so he could stoke his ego with the soundtrack.

Yes it’s just wishful thinking but he had a huge part in the halo story as well. He would be a great asset to halo again. I think halo needs better direction understanding that the fruits of Joe Staten work hasn’t been seen yet. This is another topic however.

I mainly made this topic to just appreciate some good and positive discussion about halo infinite and the great soundtrack

I’m a fan of the menu music. But I like dumb rock music.

They brought Joe in farrrrr too late. If he was there a few years ago when they restarted he might have have had a vision that would have been more cohesive and coherent than the mess we have now.

What did he do in terms of Halo 3? I never read about this specific story

Joe and the other dude were kinda burnt out so they took a break during H3’s development. No one was left except in charge but Marty had seniority so he pushed to kill Johnson and Keyes and make a few other decisions so he could have “really cool aural moments.”

So your saying Halo 3 could’ve been better and we could’ve had a Halo 4 with Keyes and Johnson in it. Lol

That’s the consensus. Not stating it as fact but it’s a possibility. They wouldn’t have brought Johnson back for ODST (even though canonically he wasn’t dead yet) if not for fan outcry.

The dude is too old, smug and expensive now. He made good music for sure, but now he is full of himself. So glad he slapped Bungie when Bungje tried robbing him after trying to stab him in the back. He deserved every penny he won in the lawsuit.

Bring back Stephen Rippy. (Halo Wars composer)

Ya he was very good but I prefer the composer’s we have now. The new endless track is really good and I’m a fan of cocker. Joel and Curtis have great Marty music remixes. Hunter’s dance is almost on par to covenant dance.

I just want the music to be implemented better in the story to give those epic moments which needed work. Certainly the music in infinite can give those vibes. Like where was through the trees? I heard undercover at night once in a random spot.

The reason why I would like Marty back is because I think him working tmwith this group will allow him to think of new music in collaboration. I understand the issues he has had. Either way I’m happy with these 3 composers. 343 just needs to capitalize more on it’s great music

Marty and Mike are great inspirations to me. If he wanted to return I wouldn’t be against it but I’m fine with the current composers too.
I would have wished for a little less variants of melodies from the theme-song itself in Infinite’s soundtrack, for more variety. But I’m generally still really happy with it.
The track called “Never tell me the odds” makes me fall of my couch.
