Bring Halo 2A maps to Halo 5

So I was doing some achievement hunting in MCC lately and the remakes of the multiplayer maps are phenomenal, but significantly more people are playing Halo 5 than online in MCC, so why not just take these maps and add them into 5? I’m no computer wizard, I have no idea how easy or how hard it is to take a premise map and put it in a new game, but they clearly did a lot of work updating those old maps, and I for one would enjoy seeing them come into play in Halo 5.

343, as we all should know, have already seen a few old maps remade for the newer Halo’s.
I agree how a few of them should be imported to Halo 5, but the thing is that not only would it show that 343 is not exactly original (By our despicable community), but some maps would need to be modified to match the new content, such as the ground pound and aiming strafe. This would not only require work, but it just wouldn’t be the same as it would be modified for the newer Gen.

Since Halo 5 is run on a new engine all together, it would be virtually impossible to just bring the maps over. They’d also have to be tweaked for H5’s movement system.

I wouldn’t mind and I disagree with the maps having to be tweeked… except doing what ever would have to be done to make them on this engine.

Lockout could fit with the underground Sanghelios art style. For example, look at Mercy. As much as I’d love for these maps to be in Halo 5, the best bet is probably Forged versions of them.

It’s a shame really

I don’t think they need to readjust the maps for movement and aiming, that’s something the player should just adapt to. Building the map around that sort of cheapens it IMO, just rip it if possible.

Well tehy have to. If they don’t, the map could be easily broken, and an endless amount of complaints will ensue. It doesn’t matter if people disagree with tweaks are not, its something that would need to be done in order for a map designed around a completely different movement system to work with this one. I don’t know to the extent, or how much, but not everything could simply pass by without tweaks, and its more than players needing to adapt, which is a weak argument in of itself.
