The best design available but with some minor tweaks on the feet size and changing a lottle on the hands to be more classic like coukd make them the best design available
I think it’s a bit late into the development phase for suggestions, but you can rest assured that the community has been pressing for a more classic style for years and judging by the trailer it looks like they’re finally bringing it back.
Last year we had a user that made the polar opposite suggestion. Even the title was similar! “Don’t bring H2 Anniversary Elites back” or something among those lines! I just thought that was funny somehow!^^
What I’m happy about though is that almost everyone agrees about the H4/5 era Elites. Never again please! I would extend it to Grunts, Spartans and Marines armour though. Changes for the sake of change made to Jackals, Cortana and vehicles bothered me as well, but at least those imho were interesting designs on their own. Still immersion breaking as yoink, but at least we’ll made. Elites and Grunts from the 343i era of pseudo Halo are just plain terrible, sorry if I’m too blunt.

Here’s the thread. Still popular to today. OP, I recommend you take a look, might change your opinion.

I think that thread even pops up once in a while. Saw it a few weeks ago. I feel like it’s a bit of a purists thing, as far as I’m concerned the H2A elites were good. A nice modern upgrade of how they looked back in 2004.
I think what made 343i Elites worse was their way of walking and their stupidity on top of the unnecessary visual changes. Seeing Elites was like watching a group of Sangheili actors trying to imitate Brutes.
I agree with the most of your post. Except that I think the Scorpion really needs to be looking more classic. It’s profile it hardly recognizable as a Scorpion anymore and it should be a lore more angular. I also feel like a lot of the H4/5 weapons look fine. Though the BR and SMG should go back to more H2/3 era looks as well. All other changes to vehicles and weapons don’t really bother me. All species models should be brought back to be more in line with Bungie’s style.
Edit:
Another thing that REALLY bothered me was how stupid the Covie Cruisers look with their GIANT green lights and oversaturated purples. They look like toy versions of what they should look like, their scale is completely off as well.

The 2A/Wars 2 elites are confirmed to be in infinite but with reach armors.
Personally I understand the guy in that other forum and my ideal would be bringing back the halo CE-3 elites.
The scorpion, marines and grunts I totally agree, I hated halo 5’s.
The covenant cruisers though… my favorites are CE’s. I loved how alien they looked, full of small lights all over that kinda apperad and disappeared. But I did like H4’s, i loved the color contrast and how it seemed… new, and alien.
