Bring forth the grammarians.

Submitted for your approval, a Reach specific word forged in the depths of these forums and presented for your veiwing pleasure and consideration.

Threach:/three-ch/: Threach is the fictitous name of a game that a small portion of players would have prefered over the actual game that was released called Reach. Threach would contain all of the advancments in graphics and engine design but have the same exact gameplay as the Halo 3, but could not be called Halo 3.5. The name of the game in this fictitous alternate reality does not matter, only that gameplay never change, ever.

What do you think? Urban dictionary worthy?
Suggestions welcome.

Using the phrase “Epic Fail” disqualifies your grammarian status, sorry =/

c’mon plunder, i thought you where just trolling when you did these topics on b.net but now i don’t know what to think…

oh look. its this again.

no body wanted the exact same gameplay, i bet you cant find one person who says that all new game play additions are bad.
people just didn’t the core game play (you know that thing we have been enjoying for all these years.) to get royally screwed up by a large number of unbalanced additions. ala reach.

Reach was never supposed to be Halo 4 and the competitive crowd that is left over from Halo 3 is actively attempting and succeeding in forming Reach’s competitive playlist into a updated Halo 3. This is a shame because a year from now, they will move on to Halo 4 and leave Reach a jumbled mess of their idea of balanced competitive play. Ironicly the people left will be the ones that actually like Reach and have had very little imput of thiers implemented into competitive playlist, awesome.

So you dont want pick up powers instead of AA loadouts, you dont want a 1-50 ranked arena, a reduction in bloom so it can more closer resemble 3/2?

I enjoyed those games too, and I enjoy Reach, I dont want to play those games forever like I dont want to play Reach forever.

“Core” is just codeword for the old stuff, or traditional or customary or another word for it is antiquated.

The problem I have is that I have spent several hundred hours playing a version of Reach while being vastly more popular than the setting in the various competitive playlist, is completely left out of the competitive playlist. The population in those competitive playlists show the disintrest in the settings by the average player and still more changes are requested to further pull away from Reach. The average player is denied a competitive enviroment in favor of pleasing a vocal minority of players who look upon Reach default settings with abject disgust.

These same player will abandon Reach forever and never look back when Halo 4 comes out and the fans of Reach will be left with a “competitive” version designed by players that absolutly hate Reach. This is flat out wrong, and is an affront to fans of Reach, frankly it smacks of petty children stomping their feet for a toy and once the get it, they dont want to play it any more.

Laugh on the inside =)

Being intelligent is like being cool, you are only as cool as others think you are.

Arena has apopulation problem, we could negotiate compromise all day long, but here is my opinion on whats gonna happen. 343 in an attempt to please the competitive crowd will further implement the general concensus ideas for what needs to be done to Arena, then after they do that, there will be more problems with the settings according to competitive players, maps, default jump hight, symmetry ect ect ect and it will still be empty. The competitive players will be sitting around scratching thier head wondering why nobody wants to play a game where the referee is on the opposing team. Then Halo 4 rolls around and 99% of you guys leave, cause after all, you never liked Reach in the first place.

your telling me you have been playing it long enough that you no longer have interest in what the games have to offer. and the only way for it to keep you interested would for 343 to dump every thing bungie has been trying to long to perfect and make something so completely new and different that it resembles something completely different?

i have to ask why you don’t just try looking at other games and seeing if they perk your interests.

I wondered why the name Plunderfull looked familiar. This thread reminded me of when you created “Threetard”.

I have looked at both competitve playlist and come to the conclusion that they are stripped down versions of the game that I have been playing and enjoying, further more they have the population of co-op campaign and appear to be losing population still. This while I am being told on a regular basis that they will be changed even more, to suit the playstyle of the people that have been playing all along, no thank you, I want to compete playing Reach not a version honed for a year by people that absolutly hate Reach, and apparently so do most people that love Reach, go figure.

The one and only, but that word is not Waypoint approved and I like my new home and dont want to offend with a lewd (but brilliant) word such as that one. Thanks for noticing though =)
