Bring 'Em Out

I’ll keep this short and sweet. Halo Wars introduced some pretty damn sweet vehicles to the sandbox, some of which I think would be pretty cool to have in Halo 4.

The Grizzly, Vulture, Wolverine…which of these additions would you like to play with in the next few Halo games? Or, would you rather new vehicles be introduced, and these to stay in the realm of Halo Wars?

For me, I think the Vulture could make for some pretty awesome campaign moments if it were included.

As much as I would like to say that these would all be useless, and make for an excessive sandbox… YES. PLEASE, YES. My inner Halo-fanboy would absolutely love this. Useless or not, this would be amazing! I loved all the Halo Wars vehicles!
Will it happen? Maybe to an extent. All of the vehicles? I highly doubt it.

I would personally love the Cobra  I think it looks the coolest.

Grizzlies, Vultures and Hawks might be a little OP :stuck_out_tongue:

I also think its about time the covenant brought out their locusts!

Halo were vehicles for the win!
It’d be sweet but hey, we’ve got a cyclops mark 2 in adrift.

Even if they weren’t playable, I still think it would be pretty cool to seem them in campaign action…either in cutscenes or as an enemy you have to battle

They should. I don’t see why not. But just a campaign shot or something would be sweet

> I would personally love the Cobra  I think it looks the coolest.

the Cobra is my favorite Halo Vehicle of all time…next to the Hornet, and the Warthog

> Grizzlies, Vultures and Hawks might be a little OP :stuck_out_tongue:

Bears and Hawks yes, but maybe not the vulture

concidering that the Vulture is a GUNSHIP, it would require a crew, not just one driver that handles everything, like in a hornet,
i’m thinking that 3 people are required to pilot the vulture to it’s highest potential
(one as a pilot, one to operate the Left side Cannon and missile launcher, and the last to control the right side guns)

and also, the vutlture is slow as hell, meaning that faster air vehicles can out-maneuver its guns, and long-ranged Anti-air (wolverine possibly, or the rocket hog) can take it down before it can deal too much damage

> I also think its about time the covenant brought out their locusts!

this would be pretty awesome as well

an epic Pink Lazar of epic destruction (a laser that does a lot of damage to everything) inside a weak egg shell (the locust can be easily destroyed)

The Dice Developers would laugh if you told them the Halo Wars Vehicles cant be balanced or implemented into the game.

Battlefield 3 is vehicle combat done right. It literally makes Halo’s vehicle combat look like child’s play. The skill gap required to be a good piolt in the SU-35B Flanker- E and the F/A 18 Super Hornet makes banshee piloting look like something a 5 year old can do. Wait… it is something a five year old can do hah.

343i needs to get on board with vehicle combat, controls, and balancing.

Like when people say the pelican is to big and could never possibly work in MP. It just makes me facepalm knowing how easily Dice could add it in to BF3 if they had the rights to do so and so choosed.

first, some vehicles DO take a little skill to use right, for example, being a good driver in a warthog
if you aren’t that good, you’ll get you and your gunner killed

but i do get your point, (i’m an okay jet pilot in BF, just for the record)

i’m thinking that the main reason that they don’t make vehicles HARDER to use is that too many of the 5-year-olds with complain that vehicles are too Hard to use, and because as it seems that +/-40% of the population in Halo consists of little kids, saying ‘no’ to change them back to easy toys will hurt too much of the population

also, have you SEEN some of these vehicle drivers,
i’m not just talking about Banshee noobs, fliping and bombing,
i’m talking about other vehicles, warthogs, tanks, etc.

for example, a good warthog driver on a map like Hemorrhage will try to avoid the Tank at all costs unless they are flanking it, but the “other” drivers choose to make a beeline towards the thing, get themselves blown up, and wonder “how did that happen, that Tank driver is hacking!”

changing the vehicles controls would just mean a lot of blown up vehicles,
people will suck at them even more if they are changed

I’ve always loved those Hawkes!

Its not just vehicle controls, its vehicle mechanics that need to be changed.

All vehicles should have a 1st person and 3rd person option.

Real ballistics need to be applied to all the vehicles guns. Meaning projectile drop and speed.

Even this small additon would add to the Skill Gap. Halo is rated M. That means 17 and up, it should not be catering to younger players. I do not disagree that a large portion of the fanbase is below this age but the game should not be caterd towards them.
