Halo is all about e sports now. 343 have been pushing that hard since 5.
Sucks.
While I would love to have all of these back, I still havenât been able to find the MUTE button in-game when someone Iâve matched with has left their mic open and all I can hear is their game and a conversation theyâre having with someone in the room with them. Iâm honestly shocked that I havenât been able to find an easy way to mute or report someone in-game.
I kinda miss many features too.
Though I gotta say I do not miss text chat in ranked.
Played my first game and got hit with stuff like /capslock ânice rocket [questionable word for people with down syndrome]â or âuninstall r-wordâ.
Maybe I am just getting too old to value that.
i mean what value does it have?
my used candy wrapper is worth more than that
Halo 2 lobbies were better than debate teams or law school for preparing you for confrontation.
is that because I couldnât punch people?
no, proximity chat. idc what the other team is saying when i kill them. Only that they hear me while im killing them
at least a way to voice chat to everyone, rather than it being proximity. imo
you dont need to hear everyone, lmfao. You just dont understand because you didnt play with prox.
Clans are honestly overrated. Theyâre basically just LFG buddies with a group name.
youâre right, i didnât. but i know how fun prox is, and proximity chat in halo i donât think would fit compared to chatting to everyone. but thatâs just me
I canât exactly tell you the button combo for console, but on PC, I open the pause menu (ESC) in match, hit Tab to bring up the list of players in the match, then hit R to mute All, or you can mute individuals.
Give it a check next time you need to mute someone, cause you definitely can, but Iâll admit itâs a little confusing and not intuitive
Then youâve been in -yoink!- clans. Halo MP is by definition a team game. Youâre basically rolling the dice with LFG.
Thereâs also a report someone for profanity or racism and stuff like that look if someone is being racist or something like that donât engage with them at all look at them like theyâre an idiot because letâs face it they are an idiot and simply just report them and ignore them because a lot of the times theyâre either doing it genuinely because thatâs how they feel or theyâre just doing it to be a troll cuz that is a thing people do they just want attention and you definitely shouldnât give it to them
I feel strongly that Spartan Companies should be added back to Waypoint, not for Halo 5, for Halo Infinite.
Of course, I was never in a Spartan Company, but it was a pretty neat idea and it performed surprisingly well. It was probably the best thing about Halo 5, and it would be even more fun in Infinite because it doesnât suck like Halo 5 did.
Post game lobbies need to come back
Iâll give it a shot, I head read that âRâ was the mute all button but it didnât work when I needed it to so I quickly gave up on it. Sounds like you need to open the main menu and then the scoreboard to mute people which is different from most shooters Iâve played.
As a lifetime gamer and an IT professional itâs incredibly discouraging that I was unable to find the mute button. Iâm usually the one browsing through applications Iâve never seen before to find a button or setting for someone whoâs job depends on knowing the application.
My friends have a joke anytime a game doesnât have a basic feature we saw in, say, Halo 2.
The technology doesnât exist.
