Bring back what already was in halo (5)

Bring back level 152 so at least im progressing in something. Once your done with your battle pass you have nothing to earn until May when the next battle pass comes out. All I play is ranked to make my Onyx go up, but it would be nice to have some XP to work for an overall level.

if they are brought back they will most likely have an on off toggle or ONLY be usable in unranked. U really think they will introduce something that game changing, and yes, animation locks are a big change, into a game that already has an established pro scene and tournament play? Something that pretty much all pros are fully against in comp. As i said if they do add them (for that cash grab) then it will need an on off toggle. Because most comp players want the instant hit not to be locked into some random animation that slows gameplay and cost them $20 in store.

I personally don’t care for competitive, but, no, I understand what you are saying. It was just me looking at the fact that they will be put them in the shop and that seems to be 343 main focus at this point giving the fact of the major lack of content.

ironic isnt it? h5 players wanting old things.

And so you can prefer to a style you like I see, okay…

Makes sense that way you explaining it, we should be patience, but still speak our wishes right? Love your awnser though.

I might be wrong on my take here, but I think some of the maps would be too large/expanded to work correctly/well with Halo Infinite’s movement mechanics.

Just as an example in Halo 5 clamber is absolutely necessary to utilize on most maps, whereas in Halo Infinite disabling auto-clamber shows that there’s a good amount of jumps that can be achieved without clamber or at least with a well timed crouch jump.

I think that some Halo 4 and even Halo 3 maps might actually work better as a direct port.

Would love to see a Breakout inspired map personally, loved the aesthetics of that mode/map.

Eh little iffy on this one.

I think the sandbox could use some expansion, a little bit of overlap on some modes like BTB for a bit of added chaos and flavor, but it would have to be a gradual reintroduction rather than just slapping a generous handful of guns into the game.

I like how OP has yet to realize that once Forge releases in Halo Infinite, we will be able to do things that surpass what was possible in Halo 5’s forge mode and that the playerbase for Halo 5 will buy-&-large leave the game behind.

It’s not here for 9momths tho unlike the forge that came in December with Halo 5

Halo 5 didn’t launch with Forge tho. It was added in a content update.

9months vs about 2 months.

We will see how bad that long time will hurt the game because it’s not like it’s 4 months. It’s a whole 9 months. Basscially almost a year out and we don’t know the condition it will be in either

Well, we do know that Halo Infinite’s Forge is going to be great. Because once again, it is being made by Certain Affinity.

You know, the guys behind just about every DLC map since CoD 4 Modern Warfare came out… like in all shooters.
The guys behind Doom 2016’s multiplayer and Halo 2 Anniversary’s Multiplayer.
The guys who made Halo 5’s Forge Mode.

Basically what I am saying is that given their track-record, I am quite sure that we will be getting something worth it in Halo Infinite’s Forge mode.

The main reason it is taking so long is likely two factor -

  • Covid slowed production across the board and things are finally getting somewhat up to speed.
  • Certain Affinity is getting used to the SlipSpace Engine and making sure that it will be VERY difficult for someone to hack the game to use Forge Tools in an active PvP match. Imagine playing slayer and one of your teammates cheats by becoming a monitor and spawning a SPNKR with extra magazines? Given that 343 refuses to allow us to turn off cross-play, it is safe to say that PC players will be in just about every match and there are FAR more cheaters on PC than console.

I’m not denying that forge will be great. It will. My point is that timing is everything. No matter how good the product people’s first experience is what matters. A lot of people never came back to Halo 5 and enjoyed all the updates because of how it was in the beginning

Granted yes, timing is everything.

But then again, fixing games or adding desirable content is something that draws in a lot of players.

  • Anthem
  • No Man’s Sky
  • Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

Just some notable examples of terrible games that were made better through fixes and additions.
