Bring back True Skill Ranking system

The true skill ranking system from Halo 3 was perfect for every type of player. Every online multiplayer is based off of XP these days and it’s getting old. The gap between XP and a skill rank needs to be bridged. A skill rank is important because it matches players against similar opponents and it provides a constant desire to improve your rank, therefore making the game more interesting and not simply a battle between who has more time on their hands to gain XP (like in Halo Reach).
For me, the true skill system gave me a goal every time I turned my XBOX 360 on, and that was to play with a few of my friends and try to rank ourselves up a level or two. Yet with that gone in Halo Reach, I have no desire to spend hours and hours and hours going from General grade 1 to General grade 2. It was more fun to spend hours and hours ranking up from level 48 to 49 in Halo 3. Even if the day was sour and I went down from 48 to 46, at least I had a goal the next day I played Halo 3.
Your true rank should be a balance of Halo Reach style XP, and a “Highest Skill Rank Achieved” on a ranked playlist. With checks and balances ofcorse.
I’m nearly the biggest Halo fan in the world and have loved them all since 2001, but if it’s just another Halo Reach ranking system I WILL be bored of it after 2 months and then move on to another game. (sadly)
