How come there are no Sticky Detonator’s in Halo 5? They were one of the most fun weapons to wield in Halo 4!
Because of plasma caster. Which is the replacement for a concussion rifle, but strangely similar to a brute shot + plasma launcher
I miss the grenade launcher from Reach…
I agree. That weapon was so much fun to use!
I really enjoyed this weapon and it took less time to charge them the plasma caster if you could lend a shot and wait for a enemy Spartan to mingle among his group the results were awesome.
LOVED the sticky detonator, would absolutely love to see it make a comeback.
Though I had many problems with Halo 4, the Sticky Detonator was not one of them. I really would like it back.

I would also prefer the Grenade Launcher to come back, but I welcome any new or returning weapon into Halo 5.

You’re not alone. I’d love to have it back.
It would have been such a good power weapon. I would definitely fight over it. The only power weapon I really go after is Rocks. I don’t care for the fuel rod, the sniper, the plasma caster, nor the rail. Now don’t get me wrong I do use them, but they’re not a necessity for me to have I usually let my team mate have them. And if my opponent is very dominant with certain power weapon I try my best to keep them from getting to them.
Why have that when you can have this awesome new shiny amazing plasma caster!?
(that shoots small blue balls of dissapointment and sadness)
They need to bring back the sticky detonator ,concussion rifle and gravity hammer(which is coming back with the ce pistol)
The Sticky Det was lame.
It was cool in premise, but in gameplay it was basically just another rocket launcher. The best way to use it was to fire it at your target’s feet and immediately detonate it, so there was no point in actually making use of its unique qualities. You could go Battlefield style and shoot a teammate’s Mongoose with it and kamikaze, but it’s not worth having an actual weapon in the sandbox just to fill this very, very, very specific role.
The sticky det was just the Reach grenade launcher minus the skill gap. So no. I don’t like the sticky det OR the plasma caster that’s replaced it. I’d rather have Reach’s pro pipe back.
I’m glad to see the stick detonator gone… I am hoping the plasma caster meets a similar fate.

You could shoot at the ground, then wait for the screen to ping for someone within range, and then detonate. It’s funny when i screw my friends over.
The Sticky Detonator was best for CTF. All you had to do was shoot one at the base of the flag pole, then take cover. Right when an enemy Spartan tried to grab the flag, you detonate it and send them soaring! Lol good times…

But that’s something more suitable for CoD than Halo. Halo is about movement, and sticking in one spot waiting for people isn’t a viable strategy in the long run.
For real, one of the few good things about Halo 4 and they scrapped it. Lol
