Bring back the rotational playlists!

I’m incredibly upset by 343i’s decision to end the rotational playlists. Would you just stop screwing over the Halo 5 community? Bring them back!

It’s the end of Halo 5’s life now and that was obvious with Infinite releasing in just over a month away.

It’s normal to drop the previous game in a series when the new one comes out.

We just had multiple years of MCC receiving all the attention over Halo 5, so don’t give me that nonsense. And I’m not asking for new content. I’m simply asking them to continue providing access to the rotational playlists. A pretty big part of the multiplayer experience and one of the reasons why people enjoy investing time into the game still.

Agreed. It sucks that a lot of staple playlists will no longer be in H5. The whole argument behind rotational playlists was that it would allow fun but less popular playlists to be enjoyed to their fullest extent. Now, players won’t get to play them at all.

Halo 5 is dying but I still wish they kept it alive till Infinite

I agree with you. I have no interest in MCC multiplayer and while I am grateful for the opportunity to have joined in the infinite flight, it didn’t really leave me with a positive gaming experience thus I won’t be buying it anytime soon. So I to also wish they’d give Halo 5 as much love as the MCC is getting.

It’s been years 343 no longer take care of Halo 5 and focus on MCC ! And now, they will delete some playlists ! They’re gonna stop us from playing some games like griffball, action sack … while MCC will have it ! It feel like 343 is insulting all Halo5 players ! We don’t deserve so much disrespect !
And in few month, after a lot of players had left the sinking boat, 343 will say : “hey, look, nobody want to play to H5 anymore” making it look like they had nothing to do with it !

Exactly. That was precisely the rationale and it was a fine one assuming they’d be kept up with.

If they refuse to provide that level of minimal support going forward then it’s best to have them all permanently available and let the experience be whatever it ends up being for the player base. At least that way access to those playlist experiences wouldn’t be denied by the developer which is the worst decision they can make.

Of course, they could’ve seen this undesirable circumstance coming the moment they choose to set an end date for all sustain support and actually invested some resources into Halo 5 to incorporate a match composer so that people could actually search multiple playlists at the same time while having them all available. I mean, God forbid they actual put some resources back into this fantastic Halo title.

343 has at least agreed to monitor H5 to ensure each playlist is enjoyed; if not they will rotate in new ones.

Halo infinite is huge undertaking + managing MCC so they are probably already spread thin.

They didn’t say ‘rotate in new ones’

> we will periodically re-evaluate the health of playlists to ensure we continue to have a good experience for players looking to play online.

That could mean new ones, but it could also mean making the list even shorter.
