Bring back the radio chat from halo 3?

This has been going though my mind for a while, but what if they brought back the radio chat from halo 3. If I remember correctly it was only in btb and you had to use the back botten to chat.

The only reason I would say to bring it back would be 2 things, 1 you don’t have to hear people screaming though the mic when they die, and you don’t have to listen to other people music though the mic.

I can’t really think of any negative things other then callouts might be to slow.

But what do you guys think, should it stay or should it stay out?

Discuss and decide.

Stay in btb, and other large playlists, nothing else tho.

Isn’t that what the mute button is for?

And I believe it was a D-Pad button to enable chat and was on playlists with team sizes of 5 or 6 and up.

Exactly. Or you just go into a party.

I remember telling storys for minutes and asking my friends questions. They didnt answer and I saw that I forgot to enable chat. Really annoying.

Nope?
OT: I think bungie did that to save bandwidth or something. If 343i wanted to I bet they could.

Please no. It was incredibly frustrating to have to remember to mash the D-Pad to talk to teammates in BTB. And with the D-Pad being used for other things now, I REALLY don’t like the idea of doing something on accident because I wanted to talk to someone.

No, I hated that function and I believe a lot of other people did as well. You could be sitting there talking for three minutes before you realized you didn’t push the talk button. Even then, if you talked for too long, it stopped ‘transmitting’ and you had to push it again.

I see no need for it considering we have party chat and a mute function.

The whole chat thing needs some work. I remember a game I was in where three of my teammates were in Party Chat. I got an invite and thought, “Oh, OK. They want to communicate!” I accepted the invite and ended up in a Party that was just one of the people on my team, the Party I was in had about six people in it and growing, and none of them were playing Halo 4, much less the match we were currently playing.

It also seems that no one uses Game Chat any more.
