Well, the MLG community already cranked out a solid Lockout remake (in my file share if anyone wants it). Since they made a nice Pit map for Reach, I wouldn’t doubt that there might be one in the making for Halo 4.
People remade quite a few of them with forge, and they’re pretty damn good.
I think about the pit constantly. I wish I could find a decent remake of it, damn file share issues…

I would be down for it, but I think they would probably work well in theory. I’ve seen fanmade recreations of Lockout, but with them dumped into mainstream playlists with all of Halo 4’s “features”, I worry about how bad they may play.

I’d rather see a good Standoff remake to be honest. Heck it would even be compatible with Dominion.
Though classic maps might be nice most of them won’t work. The Pit as an example would be awful with sprint and armor abilities. Just like Lockout would be. Not trying to get anyone down, but logistically a bunch of my favorite old maps would be terrible in this game.
I thought I play Halo 4 and not Halo 2 or 3 reloaded…I don´t want old maps. Give me new cool ones 
more in the crimson map pack style. I wanna see more crazy graphic ideas of 343i thrown into multiplayer.
Well, seeing as 343i did a wonderful job implementing the Valhalla remake (Ragnarok), I would love to see them re-introduce classics such as the Pit, or even Zanzibar.
Hell yeah! It was one of my favorites in Halo 3.
