Ive just listened to the the music for Halo 4 and it doesnt give you the feel that its a Halo game, why cant you please bring back the amazing music from Halo 1?

Simple answer. It’s a new composer.
It is a little late in the development cycle to change the music too :-/
I admit, I was apprehensive at first too, but the music did grow on me and now Awakening is one of my favourite pieces.
So…give it a shot. Maybe it will grow on you too.

It’s a new composer so naturally he’s going to have his own style, and I’d rather the composer stuck to his own style rather than try to emulate somebody else’s.
You will have that same feel when you play Halo 4, and it all comes together. After listening to the music in context, from then on out you will gain that same level of feeling and connection when listening to the pieces.
If this was being made by Bungie and the same composer, I’d say “maybe”
But because it’s 343’s debut in the Halo series, ditto the composer, I’m going to say “let them try this their way, review after the game”
Besides it all feels suitably grand, and… really how is “Awakening” out of feel with the series, given the long established ‘monk singing’ at the opening of John’s previous adventures?
I’m really digging the new music.
It really fits this new trilogy, and not only that, a lot of the tracks sound incredibly inspiring. Inspiration seems like something John is going to need during this fight.
That being said, you can hear an inkling of the original main Halo theme during the Hero Awakens ViDoc.
As long as it has epic music I’m Ok
Yeah, let’s just strip the whole soundtrack from the game this close to launch. Genius, pure genius.
I personally love what Neil Davidge has done with the music for Halo 4.
I really like the new music…besides its an new game, change it was a need…I like the monks since H1 but we have to move on =D.
Even thou I really did like halo 1 music I am getting to like the new music very much.

I have to agree. To Galaxy and Revival are two of my new all-time favorites

I think it will have a different effect when you play the game. Music can effect you differently when you attach it to something.
I like Neil’s music. Maybe even a little more than Marty’s, actually. We’ve spent the past 10 years listening to the same tunes, it’s time for some new ones.
People really just cant let go of the old trilogy huh
