I think adding back the option to play as an elite will keep more players playing halo since its kinda of easy to get most armor after opening a good amount of silver packs.
This discussion is months old now. There is already a massive forum to post about this on. 343 said that it is not possible to bring playable elites to Halo 5. Also, what do you mean by “its’s kind of easy to get most armor after opening a good amount of silver packs”? There are 223 helmets and 223 armors in the game and of 123 of the armors and 123 of the helmets can be unlocked through silver packs. So it is by no means easy to get most armor. I just finished my req collection without spending money at rank 142 so there is plenty left for you to collect in the game without elite armor.

Crap, 142? And I thought I was close to done. Only 81, and I still have another 2.1 million RP to grind before I finish. Good luck to ya.
This will be locked I’m afraid as moderators do not condone the discussion of Elites in Matchmaking outside of the official thread for it.
I’d be happy for them to make a return if so many people want it though.
