BRING BACK THE MAGNUM

The sidekick just feels so generic and weak in comparison.

If i remember correctly, 343i said, it’s not excluded that weapons from previous titles are coming back.

I really like the Sidekick but i’m sure the Sidekick and the Magnum can coexist, because they have different purposes.

Link source?

With that context we should bring back the Halo CE pistol as well.

I’m not 100% sure but i think it was in one of the first MP videos to Halo Infinite on the Halo YT channel.

Keep in mind that the sidekick isn’t meant to destroy everything, it’s meant to finish enemies off.

I agree. The sidekick is the worst weapon they could’ve added as a starting weapon.

That’s literally the point.
But no, let’s bring back the magnum just as it was in CE so that it ruins the rest of the sandbox. Madness

Remember, Infinite will have BR starts in competitive.

The new picture of the marines in the Inside Infinite post has a M6D Magnum in their holster on the right leg. You can see the hashes where the rear sight is located.

The “magnum” is classic in name only; the weapon’s design and functionality have been wildly inconsistent since Halo’s inception. Right now, the Sidekick is a gun you can quickly switch to when you need to clean up a kill. In other words, it’s the perfect secondary weapon, and I’m all for it.

It’s a bit too effective at range, but other than that, it’s not too weak or too powerful.

I agree with bringing back the magnum, as long as its not too similar to the sidekick.

in other words: nothing Halo ever needed…

Halo Reach and Halo 4 did this as well if I’m not mistaken? Regardless, Halo has been in desperate need of a balanced sidearm. Anything like the Magnums from CE and 5 would have been too powerful, anything resembling those from 2 and 3 would have been underwhelming. Popping an enemies shield before quickly switching to your Sidekick for a clean headshot is incredibly satisfying, and it absolutely does have a place in Infinite’s sandbox.

Thats the point. Its a weapon where you switch to when out of ammo. Its more strategic to use than just being accurate.

He doesn’t need one just ask any person who played the flights…New marine renders have revolvers side kicks and magnums.

While sidekick does need some buffing in the aa and bloom department, it’s not there to be the versatile go to like in CE and 5.

It’s supposed to be good enough for one kill per mag. And it’s barely managing that with the unforgiving bloom and low aa.
