Remember those good old days with needles rifles, gravity hammers, plasma repeaters and the good stuff? C’mon. Stupid 343
needs to not be afraid to bring back good stuff from older games. Also, remember the sticky detonator from Halo 4? I loved watching people run around wondering when it will go off. They should also bring back the original magnum. That thing was awesome. 343 is leaning to much towards UNSC tech. This is why some people don’t like it. It’s not enough like the old ones. I like the way it’s going, but it needs a better balance between the new stuff(super technology forerunner gameplay) and the old stuff(the gameplay with masterchief going through a forest and finding old outposts killing covenant/flood).
You aren’t using the word “balance” correctly.
I think you are looking for “variety”
There’s a kinda-needle-rifle-thingy, and I’m pretty sure hammers have been confirmed. 343 isn’t “scared” of bringing stuff back, they’re just slow to do it. For some reason.
Gravity hammers will be back in a future update, so there’s one for ya.
As far as other weapons are concerned, trying to balance even more with a different type and speed of gameplay can be fairly difficult. That’s not to say that more weapons aren’t ever going to happen, but there are more factors to consider aside from “it was a cool weapon, give it back now”, unfortunately.
Needle rifle is already in the game as the Blood of Suban carbine from the Infinity Armory’s Update. Also gravity hammers are confirmed for the February update. The reason these weapons aren’t just bluntly being added in is because they wouldn’t make sense. Even though it’s a simulation, why would Spartans train with out of date Reach era weapons?

So just add upgrade versions. Same weapons, but tweaked a bit is design and other things. I mean, look at the SMG, shotgun, all the other surviving weapons.
A plasma repeater/concussion rifle would be nice also.

Good on them for it. The weapon balancing in this game is superb. The last thing I want is for them to just start adding junk willy-nilly just because a bunch of people ask for it. Make sure it’s balanced with the rest of the sandbox, then put it in.
They brought back the reedle rifle, dose that count?
They`re slowly bringing back some guns really just give them time
So…basically all the guns from just Reach, huh?
Why not the Mauler from Halo 3?
The M6C/SOCOM from ODST?
The Sentinel Beam from Halo 2?
