Remember the good old days back when you could just sit back, relax, drink a beer, and play Halo 3 with some buds without worrying about getting made fun of by your peers?
Well, I do.
Other than that part about the beer, I’m too young to drink.
Anyways, you get what I’m trying to say. Halo has transitioned from being an awesome game which everyone used to talk to their friends about all the time to an awesome game which people rarely talk about in the real world anymore without being frowned upon. I mean sure, Halo seems cool enough to talk about when you’re here on a forum dedicated to it, but out in the real world? Not at all.
I want Halo 4 to make the Halo franchise as badass as Halo 3 was in its glory days.
Lets face the facts. Right now, the only game which is relatively cool to talk about is MW3. Now, I’m not gonna get into an argument with anyone about COD, but let me just say, Halo used to be on that shining pedestal of pure glory, and I’m hoping that with Halo 4, it will regain its position.
Looking at what’s been unveiled lately, H4 has a chance.
What do you think 343 can do to make Halo loved by the masses and “cool” to talk about again?
If they focus on that, they’ll get more sales and Halo will be ‘cool’ again. I’m okay with that once they have some classic playlists, oh and forge and custom games.

I don’t know a whole lot of people who think its cool to talk about MW3, that game was plain bad. I think a lot of the mindless zombies following that franchise are now just starting to open their eyes. Halo eventually will reach another Golden Age again soon…
as for halo being reawakened or brought back to its former glory well…even though I would like to see halo be as great as it was in the first trilogy I’m kind of doubting it’ll perform as well.
to me they’re just taking so many risks that it might take until halo 5 or 6 in order for the halo franchise to become what it was.
even though it would be awesome if halo 4 brought back halo to what it was, I kind of have my doubts about it is all.

if it’s anything like Halo 3, I will be very happy. if it brings great memories like Halo 2, I’m going to have to kiss a 343i employee. Tongue may or may not be involved.
Honestly who cares? So Halo is no longer on its ‘pistole of glory’ but what does it matter if it is. Let all of the mindless zombies play MW3 if they think it is cool and they enjoy it; and if they don’t want to play Halo because they think it’s nerdy or emotional then fine.
Stop begging for approval from those who only like games with good graphics and more guns then they have brain cells.

Either way, it’s never coming back. This is the path 343 has chosen. My suggestion would be equal starts with everything, and power ups and weapons on the map. Get rid of perks/mods as they unbalance the game. This just isn’t going to happen. I’ve come to the conclusion that I just have to let it go.

I kind of understand what you’re going through, I’ve completely given up on the gears of war franchise.
as for you not liking the direction that 343 is taking halo 4, well you still have plenty of other things to do in halo 4 EXCEPT multiplayer so at least you’ll have something to enjoy right?
as for halo 2, well as great as it twas it wasn’t as popular as halo 3 was.
It seems as though halo 4 will be better than reach at least (which isn’t much but still) so it at least it won’t be a step backwards.

Everyone that has played it is SUPER excited to get their hands on the full game. That plus all the hype its getting thanks to microsoft im sure Halo 4’s launch and beyond will be FABULOUS. Not to mention Halo 4 is beating black ops pre orders on both the PS3 and 360 COMBINED. That is history in the making. Since modern warfare a halo title hasnt been able to beat a cod game in pre orders. Halo 4 will change all of that >:)
I laugh in the face of all the people that said halo 4 will be a failure. If Halo 4 stays on this track its going to beat gears of war 3’s record of most pre ordered xbox 360 exclusive in history !
