Bring back the blue title Menu and Lobbys

One of the small things I hated about Reach. They didn’t modify it like the past Halos. They completely removed the blue screen, and gave us a still image of concept art. I miss the moving camera over the terrain behind a blue screen. I bring this up because I just popped in Halo Wars for the first time. It reminded me of the good ol days with the lighter, brighter Halo.

Even CE/CEAs was cool. The menu didn’t have a blue screen, but it had a moving camera floating around Halo which was really cool. And the lobby menu was blue. Imagine H4s menu with a floating camera that goes around the frigate and the planet-thingy it’s entering.

The base of the lobbys should always stay blue though. And the main menu should always be a floating camera. Not Reach’s boring concept art stills and bland lobbys. The most nostalgia I felt in Reach was the Start Menu.

I’d prefer a CE/CEA style one. Have the camera move through a CG but without the blue screen. Come on, 3 games have had that same style, it’s time to come up with something more than just “wack a blue filter on it”.

I am in support of the blue screen! You should make a poll btw.

Halo Anniversary has the blue screen. Why not in Halo 4?

No it doesn’t. Halo Anniversary shows the ring without a filter over the top. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImxAzQv5p0A

Agreed. Much prefer the previous Halo’s blue screens. Just seemed more Haloish with the Halo music to boot. Reach was just… Yeah I don’t even have to say it.

Not every “menu” has to have the blue screen, look at the Campaign menu, it goes blue and the ring is moving in the background. l think thats enough. But l would rather have Halo 3s blue screen

The one thing that irritates me is how it just says “reach” no where does it say “halo” I know it is a stupid little thing but it bugs me. If they plan on another tu and can add the word halo i would be so happy.

This is important! I want my blue title screen with the moving background back! Actually, all I want is the moving background. I’d welcome the ODST menu too. That was also pleasant to look at.

Bungie wanted change, Your not the only one who plays Halo.

They played it too, they wanted something unique.
Not the same game over and over and over again like the COD series.

In my Opinion it doesn’t matter, all that does is the music.
Have an Epic song in the menu and your set.
Like Reach nailed…

Halo Reach - Overture

I praise Marty.

I can’t stand the music playing in the matchmaking menu. i always press start just to make it stop. i love the soundtrack while playing the campaign, not in the menu.

Agreed with the OP. Let’s have a classic feel to the main menu again, please.

As long as they have in-game footage instead of concept art that’s fine.

Exactly!

I’d like theme options like on windows, even soundtrack options. It would be really cool, but I doubt that would happen to any game.

Hey man, I agree!

I think they should try to break away from normal menus. Metroid Prime 2, anyone?

I do miss the old blue screens fromt he past games, but now I think this is one of those times when were ganna need something new for a change…and make it a decent one
