Seriously, WHAT IS THE -Yoinking!- POINT of not having team doubles. Why would you only have it for a short period of time and then get rid of it?
Now me and my friend have to resort to slayer and have -Yoink- kids bring us down. There’s literally no reason not to have doubles.

My 2 cents? Doubles is a staple playlist that should be permanent, yes. BUT doubles fans can deal with slayer since the 2 are fairly similar, at least until other playlists that have no analogue are reintroduced. Infection fans and oddball fans literally have NOTHING similar to their favorite playlist. All you doubles lovers at least have slayer.
Doubles needs to stay. I was a 1%er in that playlist…

4v4 on these horrible maps coupled with the movement doesnt make for a strategic game
there are too many ways to get inside various hallways/bases in the maps so there is no real control
at least doubles has more of a classic feel since you wont get shot by 3 people coming in the other 6 ways to a room

That’s like saying all you infection players at least have the energy sword!
I’m sorry but 4v4 Halo 5 is nothing similar to what we want from doubles.
Much more intimate. More strategy. You control the pace of the game. Just a completely different flow and game in general. Don’t have to worry about the quitting epidemic and terrible teammates.
To put it into perspective. I play Halo 5 occasionally when doubles weekend appears. When it’s not there, I don’t play.

but why the hostility towards a doubles fan? in my opinion team doubles and 4v4 slayer are very very different games. You are right that oddball and KOTH fans (not infection, infection is garbage) deserve to have their game types. but really why can’t they all be included?
point is 343 is lazy and seems to think we don’t mind having only 6 arena playlists. team doubles, oddball/bomb/KOTH, infection, etc, etc are all just seemingly ignored. then when they bring us a “holiday” doubles for two weeks along with holiday social and act like they’ve done us a favor.
why introduce a playlist for only a weekend or even 2 weeks? once i get used to any of them they are gone. its absurd. 343 needs to implement longer periods of time for these “temporary” playlists at least. More importantly they need to give us more permanent playlists. 5 ranked and 1 “social” playlist is not nearly enough. This is unacceptable.
That is why there is more than one post about this. We want to be heard, we demand better. This issue is much more important than the threads about “which armor is best” or “the plasma pistol is no good anymore”
more playlists are essential to the life of this game. to reiterate i think we should have all the objective game types, doubles, infection, even playlists like action sack. They should not be teasers for a weekend, or even just for two weeks. and even when they are they should be immediately replaced by other playlists. the only alternative would be to at least tell us when we are getting more playlists to replace the ones just taken away on a random date. why the 4th??
