If you loved spartan ops, please let me know, because we can let 343 know what us as a comunity want for halo in the future. I think it’ll bring back some challange and more achievements for us to unlock.
With the god awful writing and horribly re-used environments from the freakin’ Campaign despite having an ENTIRE Shield World to work with?
No, screw that.
Lets replay the same area of the campaign 9 million times…pass. i’d rather true firefight back
Spartan Ops felt a bit like a half-baked replacement for Firefight, but I’m glad that they managed to add in some extra story. It also really bothers me that they called it Spartan Ops Season 1, and there’s no Season 2.
I like the idea of it but 343 did it so poorly in halo 4. I mean it could every much make a comeback but this time make it to 16 players and have it giant not the small stuff halo 4 had.
spartan ops was garbage
If they make it better than before, yes. I actually enjoyed it for the story, even if the maps were recycled from the campaign. Well most of them. There were plenty of new ones later on.
Spartan ops was a fun distraction. I wouldn’t mind seeing it return in some form.

Firefight has the same issue in regards to playing the same areas repeatedly. At least Spartan Ops had different enemy placements and objectives.
I’d like to see a story driven multiplayer co-op or solo mode return. They could also have Firefight mode where you have your endless waves with skulls and the whole bit. If it had Reach level customization it would be even better. I wouldn’t mind WZFF returning if it were customize-able and playable solo, without a reliance on a MT based card system.
Spartan ops could be improved as could many things
Pretty interesting answers, but remember this is just a suggestion.
I really enjoyed it. I was hoping it wouldbhAve made a comeback. And pretty good xp it was for me
I liked it, but i think they should improve it alot if they try to implement it again.
Its like warzone, but with a story, love it

The campaign is Spartan Ops.
I wouldn’t mind a new spartan ops, but they need more variety in the maps.
Prepare yourself in flame retardant gear, OP (:
No, but seriously, I think properly implementing a ‘Spartan Op-like’ mode would be great.
Maybe have it be a playlists of basically what are known as strikes in Destiny. Fight through Covey, flood, the banished, Promethean, etc in a variety of strikes. Down boss and get REQ drops (some exclusive to boss) or cool weapon variants.
It would give us a way to use our weapon REQs in PVE (WZ FF is vehicles only, mostly).
Have daily and weekly challenges that relate to the strikes.
I was really hoping that spartan ops 2.0 was going to be an add on to the game. Dissapointing that it wasn’t. Hopefully in the “final” update we’ll get something. Either a change in firefight to the reach style on top of the possible h3 playlist.
Spartan Ops was a good idea, and it was fun to play it when it first came out. Yet after a few episodes it became apparent that to much of it was recycled campaign and multiplayer maps. The second half of the season improved with new maps (the five maps set in the episode onboard the Infinity being perhaps the best example of this), but there were still a few repeats and recycled content. Honestly the best part of Spartan Ops was the cut-scenes. It introduced players to the greater world of Halo from the expanded universe, while still remaining in-game and setting up the opening of Halo 5 with Halsey held captive by Jul (although getting rid of the Jannus Key McGuffin and explaining how Halsey began to turn against Jul in Escalation rather than the opening of Halo 5 seemed to be a dumb move in my opinion). Those cut-scenes were well animated too.
Rather than Spartan-Ops though I’d like to see straight up DLC Campaign expansions like what Halo Wars 2 is getting (or like how Halo 3: ODST was supposed to be DLC). Imagine playing through Halo 6 then getting a “Spartan-Ops” side campaign DLC 8 months after release showing the events of the game from the perspective of another character. It could be a good way to solve the Locke/Chief dilemma. Let Chief star in Halo 6, and have Locke’s story be told in the Spartan-Ops DLC. Or even better, let the Arbiter star in a DLC story mode continuing his story in a way similar to his Halo 2 introduction.
They could go back to fireteam crimson in Halo 6 and how they’re fighting back against the Created, depending on how the story plays out.
