Idk why the snapshot was replaced when that was easily the most satisfying medal in the game to get but no scope just doesn’t sound good to the point where I actually hated snapshotting people and tried my best not too.
what do y’all think about this? Agree? Disagree?
Edit: I am aware no scope was a older medal but frankly I think snapshot was a better addition that makes me feel like I’m playing halo and not another generic FPS since it is something only halo players say and would understand
I don’t care either way.
That being said, “noscope” was a term in Halo long before “snapshot” was introduced in Halo 4. So it’s not like this term comes out of nowhere. It just wasn’t a dedicated medal back then.
Lol sorry but just no. Absolutely not. No scope is legendary and it’s been in halo since day 1. Literally early 2000s. I never understood why it was changed in the first place. It’s a no scope. It will always be no scope. Period. Listen to people on line. They don’t say snap shot. They say no scope.
No scope does not sound as good. Been playing since 2004 and Snapshot sounded like I actually killed someone with precision skill. Even the way it sounds is just better. No scope just sounds so non-creative of a medal title. Nevermind it being a universal term for all FPS games. People only like No scope metal better because its what they had before Halo 4+. Other terms, they only like it better because they are more nostalgic of it unfortunately. Nothing else

> nah, ill take a noscope as its more of a universal term and snapshot to me always sounded dumb. Im not taking a picture, what am I snapshotting
Snapshot is something that makes me feel like I’m playing halo though no scope is what everyone says about all the other games

I don’t really care if it was in older halos. Snapshot is something that no one would understand unless you are playing halo which makes it sort of a niche term halo players use making me feel like I’m playing halo not some generic online FPS

If it was in Halo first, then it’d be generic for all other shooters, not Halo.
I asked something similar a while back, if the Community would miss Snapshot, and the response was overwhelmingly in favour of it being replaced. That being said, I have to agree with them and most replies here. No-scope is so much better. It even has its own song (good luck getting it out of your head after listening to it several times).

This^. My first Gamertag for Halo 2 was Noscopeelitex09, no scope montages were all the rage back then. My friends and I have always referred to it as a “no scope,” and never as a snapshot. Snapshot always felt/sounded odd to me to be fair because of that.

Halo was huge back then but I don’t think that’s where no scope came from
No scope is an OG halo Medal, If others have it then they ripped it off. Your argument about “generic shooter” is flawed. Given that it’s a halo medal and always is then you can only feel like you are playing Halo when you hear No scope. Snapshot is just ridiculous It’s not tennis.
