Bring back smart-link to swords in Halo Infinite?

The ADS and other features made Halo 5 a proper modern Halo game. Most people that hated these extra features are the same to support ADS for the CE PISTOL which literally to this very day makes no sense.
The ADS for all weapons made it so everything had a unique experience for those that wanted to use them. Which if you did the skill gap increased and made you better at the game overall.

As for those of you that said we don’t need it because of the extra equipment or whatever makes me think  most of you didn’t even play the game for a long period of time. The movement system for sprint and walking was faster in H5 and always having thrusters as well as the ground pound made it so you can easily get around on the map at all times for everyone.
Unlike Halo Infinite where’s it’s only one person or so having those extra abilities.

But to be honest the Vorpal Talon Energy Sword from Halo 5 is in Halo Infinite. Its just one of the variant versions of the Energy Sword in the Campaign.

halo 5 sword is the best, halo 2 second best! barger!

Sorry, but no they’re not. I’m guessing that you think H2 sword is 2nd best because you could use the sword flying glitch to just zoom around the map. That was a glitch not a feature, just like BRX, glitch not feature.

Yes 100% it was a bug but I still had a lot fun exploring the outside of the Halo 2 maps with my friends back than.

But likewise, getting killed by a flying sword user from crossmap in multiplayer isn’t exactly fun or balanced

no, because of how good the lunge was, i never sword fly, i use acrophobia

I just want the damn melee alt on Sword and Hammer. I can’t believe 343 didn’t put it in the game. Both the Sword and Hammer have the exact same animation in Infinite, and you don’t block hits with it, like in all the other games. In a Sword vs Hammer fight, Sword wins every time. In a Sword vs Sword fight, you both die after clashing a few times.

In previous games, you could use melee as a faster alt animation without using ammo, to block a lunge, break the enemy shields, and thrust them while they’re in a “reload” animation stun. It was basically swordplay Rock Paper Scissors. In Reach, you could even perfectly time a melee with your fist to stop a lunge, and pop a headshot, but you had to be a monster with timing to pull it off. It was a flex if you did it.

In Infinite, nothing beats Sword, and Swords can’t even clash forever anymore. Worst thing is, you can’t dodge the lunge either, since it has some kind of stupid homing. The only way I’ve ever dodged the Sword in Infinite was by doing a Grapple slide under the lunge by accident, and back smacking them.

Swords and Hammers need a lot of tweaking, but they don’t need smart-link. I don’t care if it gets it though, because Sword Tournament in Halo 5 was like a DBZ fight, and I loved how techy the fights could get and how long they could last with Thruster juking

This is one thing I hate particularly, since it’s been the exact opposite in every single other Halo game.
In fact, Grifball is entirely built on this premise: Sword beats Grifball, Grifball beats Hammer, Hammer beats Sword.
The gametype which has existed for almost 15 years now cannot work in Infinite because 343 changed the balancing of melee weapons for absolutely no reason.

I am against this idea regardless. I didn’t like it halo 5. If it needs smart link then maybe only for throwing the sword like how in halo legends did and same with the hammer.

Dear God it would be amazing to see someone just launch a hammer like a Spartan of old throwing a spear.
