Does anyone remember the good ole days where the plasma rifle was a power weapon?
You could freeze someone while you drained their shield, and went in for the melee kill…
You could actually hit people at a reasonable distance…
hell, back then you could even kill people in three shots with just a pistol, but I digress.
Ever since halo CE fell by the wayside the plasma rifle has turned into an undesirable pile of crap
we have stood by and let it fall deeper and deeper into inadequacy for too long!
Give the Plasma Rifle its teeth back with plasma stun, or at the very least enough of a damage boost so you can kill more than one person per gun
Totally forgot about this hmm…but still no even though the storm rifle is totally useless in halo 4 buffing it up that much might unbalance the game especially with it being a starting weapon.
People would call it OP then. There’s been a lot of complaints about “movement”, where people dismiss Reach as a “Halo game” merely because the base movement speed was 0.05 slower then previous Halo games. Leaving in something that prevents people from moving will cause many complaints.
Second, I don’t think the Plasma Weapons have become worse. I think they’re awesome, people just only compare them to the OP weapons with the shortest killtimes.
The Storm Rifle IS pretty much the Plasma Rifle. I agree though, the weapon is nearly useless. Although I have seen some slight improvement with it in Halo 4.
Should bring back duel-wielding so double to power with Plasma Rifles like old times.
