Well, what can we expect from somebody who thinks like this:
Are we sure this is what Revan saying?
Obviously, we need some form of moderation to keep the trolls and griefers at bay.
I think he’s means the reputation idea seems a bit flawed.
Yeah, and very explicit here:
Is there a hidden message behind or what?
Okay. I’m just making sure. I was sure everyone knew the importance of in-game moderation.
Halo Custom Edition is a clear example of why a game needs moderation.
Trust me. I’ve played on many CS: S community servers. I know we need moderation.
No we don’t, trolling and griefing has ALWAYS been a part of Halo as far back as CE and I’d argue it’s what made it popular.
It was a shooter where you could goof off and do whatever you wanted. If you really want to stop griefers remove friendly vehicle damage and friendly fire overall from matchmade playlists, problem solved.
No, it’s clear as day, social matchmaking is social, as in not to be taken seriously, no quit bans, no afk bans, none of that nonsense.
Theser are the only ones that are justifiable bans on your list, quit/afk bans shouldn’t exist in social full stop.
Dude, what’s wrong with you. That’s one of the reasons the players are complaining when searching solo.
Why would anyone play social then? It would literally just be full of trolls. I don’t get the logic behind having a social playlist where it’s anything but.
Just because social is more relaxed doesn’t mean we need to toss the entire rule book out the window.
That’s just my opinion.
Well, we found one of them. That’s why he is complaining more than normal. There’s no place for trolls in the community.
If there were any system in place by 343 to limit these behaviors in other ways, I MAY agree with you. For example, if quitters could be replaced by users who “join in progress” or if AFKs could be booted after a certain period of inactivity via a vote.
But with the lack of these systems in place the game will continue to feel off.
I would ask anyone to go play 50 games for the monthly challenge and see how many games have AFKs/Quitters. I’d be surprised if its less than 20-40%.
It’s like above 80% of the times. I’ll be surprised if a match ends with nobody getting booted or leaving.
Agree. Just because we can do it doesn’t always mean we have to. There is a Spartan code that we all implicitly agree to when playing multiplayer.
As well as the xbox community standards.
Another option would be to give us a setting/option to enable party matching so we don’t match a team of 3 or 4 when we play social 4v4 (at least for slayer modes like BR, AR, Snipers but I imagine people would want it objective too since these teams often stat (aka kill) in objective without even going for the objective and draw the game out).
I knew it
Nope, it goes against the rules and even the community standards. It doesn’t matter who is it, no one should be above the rules. I don’t mind if someone’s trolling with friends, but this is completely different when you’re doing
it with random players and you don’t know how they could react (probably somebody is not in the mood of this bs, probably somebody else is just trying to complete the challenges, and perhaps they’re trying to play the game as it should be)
Residential IP’s are dynamic
Totally disagree
Every single game I tried today at different points of the day were sweaty full teams (recognizable social kids that run in teams) . It’s beyond exhausting and frustrating that you can’t even get a casual match (not to mention my teammates in every game were extremely bad at the game and couldn’t get hardly any kills sometimes zero). I just came back to the game after a long break from the game hoping things would improve but it’s even worse now because the teams have killed the overall population (you get bad teammates because most of the good players don’t play anymore because they don’t want to match up against teams - a small amount of good players are left and they mostly play ranked).
The solution is extremely simple: Party players should be placed with other parties. If no other parties are found, then they can wait in the MM screen for as long as it takes, or go play solo. Ruining other people’s matches is NOT a solution.
And Ranked is dead because all these incompetent teams have moved over to social so that they can grab some free wins. If they restricted their access to casual as mentioned above, Ranked wouldn’t be dead. I have been playing matches consistently during the holidays and more than 50% of them are with premade teams. So sir, I refuse to believe that Ranked is dead. Ranked was killed by 343 when they removed the grouping barrier from Social.
And regarding the quit penalties.
343 has shot their foot (and ours) on this one. Because they introduce harsh quit penalties, force you to get stomped, and guess what…they forgot to introduce AFK penalties. So here is the result: Instead of quitting, people go AFK. So you are forced to have a team of 4, with 1-2 AFKers against 4 premade teams. How is this fun? Where is the fun in this?
