Bring back mouse magnetism

That’s not the POINT

Exactly! This guy is such a tool. MNK stands no chance at the high level.

This right here, and likewise for controller players that think KBM is the sole advantage.

OP’s profile pick of a person crying fits their attitude well. This post clearly is for clout as they ignore everything anyone has said or provided.

Nobody needs bullet magnetism, it’s garbage and unfair, want bullet magnetism? Use the needler!

I’m level 83 on the battlepass with a lot of time spent on controller and KBM neither one has an advantage over the other, the mechanics are trash and the aim assist is negligible for console yet somehow stronger on pc controller.

All these “broken aim assist” posts come from people who watch too many streamers complain about “aim assist” rather then admit they got outplayed. Go buy a console and play on controller and tell me how easy it is.

Regardless the aiming mechanics of this game and the default settings are a straight up prom night dumpster baby and take a lot of fine tuning.

You might want to check your settings and fine tune them OP it took me a solid 10 hours to get where I wanted it.

I’d argue that M&K holds the advantage still. You can just get way more precise aim on a mouse and the keyboard offers better movement and keybinds. The aim assist isn’t good enough to keep up with M&K. Right now the controller players at the top of ladder are being “carried” by their decades of Halo experience on controller. Give it a year or so for young M&K players to be “brought up” on Halo.

That’s all besides the point anyway. If there is a problem with aim assist it’s only going to exist in like the top 100 players where there’s no skill gap. All these people complaining are never even going to scratch that level of play and are blaming their poor performance on something that doesn’t really effect them.

You know I tried explaining this multiple times to these KBM elitist but having that conversation with them is like talking to a brick wall………

If you suck that bad with KBM to have to complain about controller aim assist then that’s pretty self explanatory.

The current state of the game aim assist is negligible and makes up for the slight differences in KBM vs controller.

I’ve said it a million times over now.

Aim assist is only active when the reticle is red. The reticle (after personal testing) even with ranged weapons (that’s right ranged weapons have the same red reticle distance as CQ weapons) is 7ish in game meters. That’s extremely close and any decent KBM player will destroy a controller player well before a controller player gets within range to have aim assist.

OP can chock this up to nothing more than skill gap. And halo has always been a game about skill gap with more emphasis on map control and power weapon control in order to win games.

Couple that with the fact that halo historically only on consoles then yeah a 20 year halo veteran is going to out perform a 2.5 week halo KBM player.

Case and point, a KBM player that has only played cod/battlefield is going to have a bad time in halo, you cant just throw bodies into the grinder over and over and expect to perform well. You need to use distance, movement, terrain, and power weapons to win and all players in the sand box have an equal opportunity to utilize said advantages.

This is not a aim assist issue. I’ll keep saying it but these keyboard elitist are not going to listen.

Funny i play with my sensativety at 5… and i’ve gotten a few of the 360 medals as well as ninja. I also tried the controller today an It felt like I played worse…

I’m glad you mentioned distance. That’s something people don’t seem to understand. I wager most of these people played Halo as kids/teens on Xbox and only recently picked up K&M. Playing in K&M is a whole different world. You WANT to take long range fights with a controller player cause there’s no way for them to out aim you at that distance. You just have too much raw control, and if you can’t control it that’s a you problem. Nobody understands what a high skill ceiling there is on M&K. Yeah, it’s technically better, but only if you master it. It’s like the transition from driving a car to an airplane. Like yeah a plane can fly, but if you don’t know what you’re doing you’re gonna crash.

As a pilot for the past 7 years, I like the metaphor there at the end.

“Flying is not inherently dangerous, it’s just extremely intolerant of mistakes”

But you hit the nail on the head there. I play controller and keyboard on console. I’ve spent lots of hours on this game (level 83 should be indicative of that) and KBM takes the distance battle hands down. Now arena maps with closer quarters and objectives like oddball. Little bit of a different story.

Nonetheless this is not an aim assist issue. This is a game mechanics and sandbox fundamental issue that new halo players do not understand.

The skill gap in halo is pretty extreme you’ll know a veteran player when you see one trust me.

I play exclusively on MnK and I win probably 75% of my games in ranked. I started in mid-gold, and I’m well on my way to diamond.

This is for you OP this is how you easily defeat a controller player

Yeah if you started in gold you’re not good at all

bullet magnetism for mouse and keyboard input

You’re literally the first gold I have ever met. Dont mean to be rude but your opinion holds no weight at all. Go try and play with mouse and keyboard against onyx 1800s, against people who actually know how to move and team shot. It’s not even close to being fair. I haven’t used a controller in 5-6 years for an FPS, i cant stand it – this game has forced me to switch though. I was struggling to even get Onyx the first month on MKB… Finally, just gave in and switched to controller as MKB and this game was literally effecting my mental health. 2 weeks of controller and I got up to onyx 1818. Its a struggle getting any higher though because this ranking system is complete garbage as well…

This is reticule friction it was slight assist

This has to be a troll comment… Controller aims for you…
