Bring back missing medals 🎖

I noticed some classic medals that appeared in earlier Halo games have vanished. Heres what I want to see back:

  • First Strike: Get the first kill in a match

This medal has been in since Reach. Why is it gone now? It was always satisfying to get first kill

  • Hat Trick: Get 3 headshot kills in a row with a Sniper weapon.

I like this medal and thought it just sounded cool when announced

  • Headcase: Kill a sprinting opponent with a headshot.

Also always thought this medal sounded cool when announced

What do you want to see return?

  • Revenge:

    • It was nice to know that I killed my killer. Avenger would be nice too.

  • Weapon Spree Medals (Shotguns Spree, Vehicular Manslaughter, Be the Bullet, etc):

    • These metals were great for showing just how proficient a player was with a certain weapon or at completing a task.

  • Invincible & Unfrigginbelievable:

    • I know they were replaced by Boogeyman and Demon, but I think the spree medals would sound better if they were (Rampage, Nightmare, Invincible, Unfrigginbelievable & Demon). Boogeyman and Grim Reaper are just kinda too tacky for me.

  • Extermination

  • Close Call & Hard Target

  • Alley-Oop:

    • If we can have Combat Evolved, then we can have Alley-Oop

  • Triple-Double

  • Clutch Kill/Game Saver

  • BXR

  • Top Gun

  • Power Player/Big Gun Runner

  • Road Trip/Flyin’ High

Top 2 I’d like to see are first strike and revenge.

Would also be cool to have team takedown (unsure if this is in game or not)

And in general just all medals from halo 5 specifically but also any past game. I mean this is halo infinite so live up to the name and out everything in it!

On a side note, I would really like waypoint to bring back in game stats so I know how many medals of each kind I have gotten. Why even have them if you aren’t gonna show them being tracked. I know the game must be keeping count so let us see our stats.

I agree. I feel like someone watched John Wick right before they made the “Boogeyman” medal and it feels cheesy.

I also want Revenge/Extermination and BXR back

I just want to see more objective medals come back. Actually doing the objective rarely gives you a medal now.

CTF:

  • Flag Carrier Killed
  • Flag Taken (from the spawn point)
  • Flag Captured
  • Flag Returned

Oddball:

  • Ball kill
  • Oddball Carrier Killed
  • Ball Holder (10s), Keeper (20s), Master (30s), Hog (45s)
  • Magic Hands (1m)
  • Smooth Moves (3 kills with the oddball)

KOTH:

  • medals for staying in the hill for 10, 20 en 30 secs (now only the last is available)
  • First Point
  • Hill Defense (killing an enemy from inside the hill)
  • Hill Offense (killing an enemy that is inside the hill)
  • Hail to the King (5 kills from inside the hill without it moving)

Strongholds then also needs to get some medals (not just the one for capping all 3 within a live). I think about:

  • Zone saved (prevent a takeover and take it back)
  • Zone capture
  • Zone Defense (killing an enemy from inside your own zone)
  • Zone Offense (killing an enemy inside their zone)

I’m really sad Triple Double isn’t in the game. Seeing that medal on the post carnage report after BTB games always gave me a sense of pride. Especially in close games!

Yeah, it was a truly skillful medal. Wasn’t a cheap medal to get.

While I agree… the first step is getting medals to actually count towards your match XP and match XP to actually count towards some sort of progression system.

What was Triple-Double again anyway?

10+ kills, 10+ assists, and 10+ headshots in the same game.

I believe it counts towards MCC’s legendary medal counter for an achievement too

first strike, last strike, headcase, hat trick, individual weapon sprees (hammer/sword/shotgun/sniper etc… sprees - 15 kills), extermination, revenge/avenged, all prior objective medals, tripple double, assist sprees, assasination…
as well announcer lines for the given medals. doesn’t feel nearly as good when said achievements aren’t… well… announced -v-

as an side note, it’s really surprising how many medals just… aren’t in this game that’ve been staples in halo’s mp

Y’all are funny thinking they would even consider your opinions on medals…have you purchased anything from the shop yet for them to even think about considering what you as a fan of the Halo games want?

This is the most stripped down Halo I can think of…the most changed that no one asked for Halo I can think of.
