Kazuma Jinnouchi is a great composer no doubt and the Halo 5 OST is awesome, but please could you at least bring Marty back to work on the last Halo chapter?
For us, for the fans? It would be great, to close the saga with the man who (co-)started it all
The Fact that Marty doesn’t work for Bungie anymore is just a point speaking in favor for my proposal
The last I heard Marty was working on independent projects. They can’t just snap him up to be the new new new in-house composer if he doesn’t want to play along.
I’m sure they can arrange that in the next 3-4 years ^^
It’s not like they call marty and say “Oh you don’t have time to work today on halo 6 that is comming out in 2018? Oh shoot, we needed the work to be done 3 years in advance”
Currently Marty is with Highwire games working on new super secret projects. It would be nice to see Marty and Salvatori come back and do 1 song on the next sound track, but overall I’m quite impressed with the current composer for Halo.

Exactly! We get that 343 doesn’t want to mix up too much of the old themes, simple because halo 4 and 5 doesn’t play on a halo ring, but that doesn’t mean that Marty can’t handle this! Honestly ODST’s and Reach’s soundtrack were superb! Easy on of my favorite game scores!
Even if Marty is working on a super top secret project, doesn’t mean that he can’t spare time in the next 3 or 4 years to do a collaboration kinda thing!
Marty is working on his own gaming project with, I believe an Indie company. And he is doing more than music in that game.
If Microsoft decide they want Marty back, they are going to have to pay a lot of money. And I mean very a lot. You could actually make a game with money required to get Marty back.

How’d you know that? I’m sure Martys services aren’t quite cheap, but heck if that’s not worth it i don’t know what is ^^.
What more do you want? Halo 5’s soundtrack was literally almost a on point replica of Marty’s Soundtracks. . . The way I see the fan base is ruining Halo, by making all these demands, it seems like you guys really want Bungie back or want 343 to make Halo exactly like Halo 2 and Halo 3 or Halo Reach, which was Bungie’s way of Saying, Hey guys, um. . . Were going to Change Halo Drastically, by adding Armor mods, More in-depth story that expands on newer characters, The soundtrack will have to change in future games. The Chief at some point will have to die. Certain as well. ( Heck, we’ve hinted at that multiple times in Halo 2 and Halo 3. . .
Personally, My OPINION, Halo 4’s Sound Track was More on point to Halo CE"S soundtrack. Halo 2 and Halo 3 were on point as well, Halo Reach, No, that sound track was more related to Halo 5’s soundtrack. Dark - mysterious vibe. . . 343 knows what there doing. Story and Composer wise, if they wanted to, they could bring Marty back, but they don’t need him to replicate his songs, The composer now is already making music exactly if not 10x’s better than Marty.
First of all, no the Halo 5 OST is NOT a replica of Martys Work. They’ve mixed up a few old themes (witch is awesome to be clear) but thats it.
AND I really REALLY don’t want bungie back! They aren’t the same company anymore (activision ruined them). You are putting me in a jar where I don’t belong, dude. I really like 343s work and as Marty and his coworker/founder Jaime said “The only thing that 343 could make wrong is to look back and make a replica game of the old days”! And I’m totally with him sayin that! But that’s another story and we’re getting off topic. IMO halo 4 ost had to much electrical vibes in it. Very “Unhalo” considering that Marty only ever used “living” instruments or whatever the right definition of that is. Halo 5 is like a mixed thing and has really great moments in it but is as well followed by some sort of techno/electric beat. I just miss Martys way to highlight certain moments of the game. Heck it doesn’t even need to be the Halo Theme over and over again! My favorite OST are the ones from ODST and Reach! I mean the ODST Soundtrack had NOTHING to do with the Halo OST but Marty still nailed it in a way, that is still associatable to the Halo score.
The soundtrack to me was the best part of the halo 5 campaign. that said, there were a ton of good pieces from halos 1-3 and maybe a collaboration of the two composers. my only gripe with halo 5s music and it really wasn’t the composers fault was i woulda enjoyed the da da da da… da da da da… (forgive don’t know the track’s name) in a stand out track. it was used to a lesser extent towards the end of halo 5, but it would have been amazing if a cutscene was built around it like in halo ce mission 4, halo 2 facing the scarab, and halo 3 on the mission “the covenant” (lol i can remember only bits and pieces) In halo 6 they need to highlight this track.

I never said it was a replica, I said, "almost a on point replica of Marty’s Soundtracks " . And yeah, thats it. . . But i agree with you, Not a fan of Reach’s Whole soundtrack, but ODST, I catch my self wearing headphones with the soundtrack and playing Halo 5
But 343 is showing and Proved that they don’t need a lot of what Bungie had or did and It Shows they do not need Martin O’ Donnell to make Halo music, when !. They can do it them selfs, 2. Use his Music and remix with theres, which they did. 3. They do need and I feel like they don’t need to use Classic Halo music. The theme is fine, But let 343 make there own music, O’donnells Score was Based on the Chief and Halo O , 343’s music doesnt seem to focus on Chief anymore, Its focusing more on Locke or just a story coming to a conclusion. . . Halo 4’s " Score " seemed to focus on the forerunners, and a darker tone.

See thats the point. 343 shouldn recycle old stuff just for the sake of beeing nostalgic. I admitt I had goosebumps during the first and last mission with blue team as soon as “Trials” kicked in, but that shouldn’t be the only thing on the score! Mixing up old halo theme’s isn’t enough and imo Kazuma Jinnouchi didn’t make a good job of capturing the Halo essence without using the halo classics (like ODST or Reach did)…well at least not a single track had been stuck in my head after I’ve finished the game…or no hold on I remember the Sanghelios music beeing awesome aand one track with Osiris (can’t remember wich one exactly). Ok forget my last statement, Kazuma Jinnouchi did a good job capturing the essence of halo, but you know it never felt that Kazuma can highlight certain Elements of the game like marty could! Heck I still remember entering the valley on Installation 05 (Halo2) wich was overfilled with oneshot sniper and carabine jackals and the track “In Ambe clad” started to play. As a matter of fact i got goosebumps just from the memory of it ^^ These are the things i missed in Halo 4 and 5
It’s just that every Halo fan would freak the hell out if marty would like 2 or 3 tracks for the score

He’s already working for highwire games with other fired/retired Bungie Halo vets and other game industry vets.
