Please bring back invasion playlist in mm. And could we get some real btb maps not all forge made maps like in halo 5?
Man you’re on a posting rampage today! I have to agree that Invasion and Invasion Slayer need to return and BTB needs some serious love. I feel it got put on the back burner in H5. And -Yoink!- 343 no forge maps!
Invasion was a great idea! It was really funny.
I quite only play BTB, and one of the reason I gave up playing halo 5 is that actually you can play only in forge maps. Warzone was a total failure: I don not like it, and never will. Hope they will delete it in Infinite
I will always support a return for invasion, its my favorite gametype.
Seems like everybody agrees that Invasion should return… and for that reason alone, it probably never will—not properly anyway. I’m sure they’ll try to incorporate aspects of it into Warzone 2.0 in an attempt to appease the fanbase though, while in actuality, annoying everybody in the process.

It seems just like what they usually do.
Invasion was great because it was realistic in a good way. I‘ll explain myself: halo 5 multiplayer is realistic in a stupid way because it is all a simulation for the training of spartan IVs. So, players are Spartan IV and have to kill each other in this simulation. While Invasion was realistic in a good way: humans vs covenants, different weapons accoring to the progress of the battle etc. I want to kill Elites because I want to save Reach, not for a stupid simulation.
Warzone is simply stupid: repetitive and annoying with those cards!
I hope to see the invasion gamemode integrated into BTB, to not spread the playlists, but otherwise agree.

Why save reach. Reach has been done and over with. We experienced the story of reach. My question is what’s with the reach bandwagon. If you look at halo as a whole reach’s story was told. Go back to 3. Covenant defeated. Jump to 4. Storm covenant shows up following in covenants footsteps. Jump to 5 Storm covenant was defeated. Aka all covenant / sub covenant factions are defeated. So why continue the reach hype. 343 has confirmed infinite continues the story where 5 ended. Hence no covenant forces remain. Regaurdless of being a “simulation or not” fact is the covenants dead. No need to continue a war for nostalgia. New enemy is cortanas faction and those that side with her enough of the reach hype already.

We are not talkig about the story, man, it is about the only online playlist.
Let’s say this way, so that you can’t be personal touched and offended: it would awesome having an online playlist such as Invasion, with more stages of a unique battle, it can be both humans vs humans and humans vs sangheili, with no reason at all to justify it. No more covenant or banished, or whatever. Just sangheieli and humans.
In halo infinite we will be fighting AIs ? I hope we won’t.
Y’all didn’t feel Invasion got stale with it’s limited map selection? I liked it but could only play it once in a blue moon

I think the problem people have with the forge maps is that they all look similar, textures aren’t the greatest, and it kind of comes across as lazy. It just shows 343 doesn’t care about BTB, even though it’s one of the most popular playlists since it was introduced.
Dev made maps are completely custom and a more unique experience. Just look back at all the BTB maps from H2, H3, Reach, and Exile from H4 (only good BTB map in H4). Avalanche, Sandtrap, and Spire are my favorite BTB maps and they’re dev made maps and they look amazing. It makes the experience so much better.

I appreciate your constructive reply. I can understand what you mean and I agree that Forge maps in Halo 5 are limited by performance, textures and etc. Do you mind me asking exactly what the unique experiences were in the all those maps? If aesthetics is one of the main issues, would it not make sense to ask for better tools, an enhancement to Forge that would allow the community to make awesome looking maps and unique experiences?

This doesn’t answer my question, you just made a list of maps. I don’t think you understand my question. What exactly is the problem with the Forge BTB maps? Why do you have (Nothing) for Halo 5? What makes a Forge map worse then a dev map?

They are so blah there is no texture to them let forge maps stay in customs. That list I made you shows you how beautiful the maps are compared to forge made maps. So your telling me you’d be okay with forge made maps in every playlist? I honestly don’t mind playing on them but I would like some Dev maps too!
Invasion was cool, would love to see it return, but BTB dev maps are damn near essential I reckon.
