Really miss it and cant believe Halo 5 doesnt have it. i really love that game mode the most. It was refreshing to play in H2A maps. i thought halo 5 it would be crazy fun but its not there.
Yes please.
It’s baffling why 343 didn’t consider staples like Infection, Juggernaut, and King of the Hill to be available on launch, even if just for custom games.
i know, i have been playing that gamemode since Halo 2. “and back in my day. we didnt have that fancy option. we had to have rules and you had to switch teams when you got killed by the zombie” great times. looks like thats the only way to play it is how they did back in halo 2. go from red team to green team.
It would be awesome with the way boosters work now
You have my vote!
I’m pretty sure Griffball, Infection, and more is coming to Halo 5…just be patient my fellow Halo friends. Keep posting these things and I’m sure our voice will be heard!
There are a lot of gametypes I’d like to see again. I wonder if there will be any new ones introduced in 5 that become series staples (besides Warzone, which I love!)?
Let me tell you something about infection. It started as a BTB custom game in Halo 2:
Teams: 15 Humans (red team) and 1 Zombie (green team)
Scoring: Unlimited
Time: Unlimited
Weapons: Pistols and swords (Humans could only use pistols, Zombies could only use swords, ammo was limited)
Player traits: No shields or Radar
Map type: CQB maps
How it worked: When the players spawned, the Humans had a minute to find a place to hide and start setting up barriers by pushing or punching objects into place. If a Human was killed by a Zombie after that 1 minute was up, the player would switch to the Zombie team and use a sword for the rest of the game. You would keep playing until all the humans were consumed.
If infection is not coming to Halo 5 just yet, then this is a good alternative.

yup thats how it use to be. it use to be so big i could always get a full party together. “you are doing zombies? i wanna join” we actually had 1 zombie if we got 8 or less and 2 if 16 which always happened. the only annoying part was when we had to kick people for not changing or using sword when human and vice versa. “no that wasnt fair he cheated” those did happen on occation. halo 2 was customization heaven. thats were Troy, Tremors, Donkey Kong, Hog Wars, CatnMouse, Predator, etc they were so fun most are still seen today. dont forget Tower of Power. that was a bloodbath. all shotguns expect for the turret on the tower that everyone fought for and the kill count i think was up to 1000 or something.
