Bring Back Infection and Fix Flood

In halo five there needs to be a gametype for normal infection so that it isn’t weird playing cops and robbers, ghost busters, duck hunt, jenga etc. Also, Flood for obvious reasons needs to allow infected to use any weapon. Otherwise its not fun and is wayy to restricted.

I agree, I thoght Halo 4’s Flood mode was an interesting concept but I didn’t really like it compared to regular infection. I guess I don’t like the thought of being turned into flood shudders.

But I… WANT… HAPPY FLOOD!!!

Ahem
Uh… well, I thought Halo 4’s Flood was okay. The simulation forms were pretty cool looking, and added a Halo twist to normal FPS Infection. And, the Flood gametype was just Infection by another name (okay, with AAs, but those are already confirmed nixed.)

Wasn’t a big fan of the design really. I just didn’t like looking at the bone sword thing, really grossed me out ya’ know?

If we’re still talking about Flood, I’d say 343 did the models pretty well then.

They’re the Flood, after all.

Touche good sir… touche.

Didn’t Like 343’s Flood Models, I Wish they’d stuck with bungies.
Halo 4 Flood weren’t Terrrifying

The issue with halo 4’s flood was the inability to choose what weapons and AA that the flood had. Everything else is pretty much irreverent in my eyes. I enjoy the monster floods over the people flood.

Thought having Flood only angered me as to why elites weren’t in Halo 4. A reason why it landed low on the brackets for me. Halo 4 took a few steps back but that was because 343i was sort of amateur and now they’ve gotten more experience behind their backs.

I’d just compromise and have both in the game, it’ll please most of the community.

But for which one I like more? I’m going to go with Infection.

Fixed.

I agree. Infection is a much better gametype than flood.

The Flood models were good but Infection/Flood hasn’t been fun for me since it became an actual playlist.

Customs is where Infection truly shines.

It’s funny how much people complain about how they want innovation in a game but when they get it, they complain some more and want the old way back…343i had it right with the flood models.

If they gave the players who are flood the ability to use weapons then it really isn’t flood at all, just a hide and seek slayer or whatever.

Impossible. You understand how hitboxes work, right?

If innovation is turning a gametype with an unbelievable amount of options (that most custom games in Halo 3 were based off of) into something barely customizable, then I don’t want it.

You can argue about the models of the flood if you want; I don’t really care about them. To say Flood is an innovation of Infection is either hilarious or sad. I can’t tell which.

I’m hoping 343 doesn’t think we hated the addition the Flood themselves, just that it’s the imbalanced gametype that we dislike, because I’m really glad they made it Flood models for Infection. That was one of the top 3 things on my long time wishlist for Halo before it ended, along with driving a Scarab at some point and playing as Brutes in the multiplayer.

PLEASE, please change its voice, though.

I’m a story kind of guy, so I liked the inclusion of the flood models. However, I have to say if they did a “flood mode”, I think it would best as a coop mode like firefight. However, idea… Might work… A multiplayer mode like Left 4 Dead, where you have humans vs special infected with the addition of AI flood on top of it.

I like this idea. Maybe they could do a Versus kind of thing, where you play through a campaign level & human-controlled enemies try to stop you from reaching the end.

You must not play halo, because i’m pretty sure THE FLOOD are able to use whatever weapon the infected lifeform is holding.

1.) I EFFing love innovation. Flood mode was not that. All it did was take away from what was a well loved infection experience.

2.) You act like everybody in the world that gets a forge idea, or wants to play infection is only ever going to want to use the sword. While before in PREVIOUS titles they were able to use the entire arsenal of weapons. Innovating involves improving and that -Yoink- clearly did not improve.

Yet the h4 flood models look like they’re copy and pasted straight from resident evil into h4.
There has to be some kind of compromise between a flood-looking model and a working hitbox.
