They cannot bring that armor set back, it was a special deal that Bungie made with ninja gaiden or something like that. So if 343i tried to replicate that armor set there could legal and or other ramifications.

They could try to replicate it…but we know how that would go.

That statement disapoints me. And about the armor. I personally don’t need or want anymore. I think that 343 should focus on making the game itself better. Not adding more “filler REQs”.

Shinobi, from what I’ve heard, is the spiritual successor to Hayabusa.

I think any Samurai-looking armor would make fans happy. Doesn’t have to include the Ninja-Gaidan style headpiece.

Shinobi and Raider armors are intended to be the successors of Hayabusa, if I remember correctly.

I agree, but it’s the closest thing we’ve got.
That would involve creating a new licensing agreement with Koei-Tecmo. That would cost money. Money that I feel would be better invested in creating new maps/weapons/vehicles. So yeah, I don’t want Hayabusa armor in Halo 5.
As I say every time I see one of these threads: go ask Team Ninja, since they own the rights to Ryu Hyabusa and his likeliness.
Worst armor in the series IMO. I’m not even exaggerating.

And what exactly is the legal other than the name. Team Ninja has no bearing in whether or not they can bring back that design.

It was a design based on the headpiece worn by the main character of their game. The main character named Ryu Hayabusa. There was a business agreement where bungie got to use his headpiece and Team Ninja got to use the Mjolnir armor in their game for a character.

A redesign of the raider armor from 4 would be close I guess.

Yup, give this spartan some cake. When Halo 3 launched the Dead or Alive game that released that year had a Spartan in it, Team Ninja allowed Bungie to design a Ryu Hayabusa inspired armour in return, as a huge Ninja Gaiden fan I would love to see it return. It won’t happen imo.
