Bring back Halo5 evade features.

Halo 5 evade features made the game more dynamic and fluid in movements… Bring that into Infinite.

Halo 5’s boosters, as fun as they were, really funked with the gameplay. This is coming from someone who was Champion rank in H5 Snipers. I’d much prefer no thrusters, although A little birdy told me thrusters might be coming in as equipment in the full game.

I love thruster pack and they will come back in the game, just look this video : Halo Infinite THRUSTER Equipment - YouTube
I hope they will be really present in the game. I would love a gameplay where you can choose your item before start the game
Also, I regret the jet pack who disappear since Halo 5

Last weekend, I played a game where you could pick up Thruster as Equipment, it worked just like it did in Halo 5, but you only get a set amount per pick-up.

Yes the -Yoink- boosters need too return! That is one armor ability that was actually nice

Thrusters were a terrible addition to the sandbox. They operated as a “get out of jail for free card” for players who made bad choices with their positioning.

Adding the thrusters, ground pound, hover, and charge would completely uproot the game as it is and alienate everyone who has enjoyed the game so far. It’s way to late in development to make the game into that. There are thrusters currently in the game, so there is that. But the map sizes would have to scale up, and movement would become Cod like again, move fast, fly around and react to twitch shooter gunfights

Look I get that some of these things were fun to you guys but you have to understand how they broke the game. With Halo 5 the fast movement made it so bullet magnetism had to be high which made sniping easy. The jetpack was insanely overpowered in the right hands as it broke the golden triangle of Halo allowing the jetpacker to use grenades but not be able to be killed by grenades. Choosing equipment from spawn is also incredibly unbalanced, and isn’t the even starts that most Halo fans want.

100% agree. Aren’t we supposed to be playing as futuristic advanced soldiers with special full body armor that enhances our abilities? The Thruster, Ground Pound, Spartan Charge, and Auto Stabilize took some getting used to in H5 but they have proven to be an awesome addition to the Halo story progression. To nerf them in Infinite and replace them with “pick ups”, that are limited in usage, is STUPID.

There is 1 problem. 343i has a split market of Halo players. There are large groups who never gave H5 the chance and have been playing H3 or ODST exclusively for the past few years and then there are those who took the time to adjust to the changes in H5 and have grown to LOVE it. 343i is trying to satisfy the H3/ODST group by removing the very things the H5 group enjoy about the game.

I like to believe I have a right to speak on this because I am 1 of the .01% of players who has achieved max rank of 152 in H5. If 343i is firm on this decision of removing Spartan abilities then the 152 grind was pointless and I’m done playing Halo. I’m not alone in this.

I took the time to master halo 5, onyx in everything, even hitting champion a few times. Then I went back to H1 - H3 and realized how much better the prior halos were because they didn’t have all the extra stuff. The new armor abilities have a severe trade off with high aim assist and bullet magnetism taking away from the base gameplay and skill gap for the sake of movement. It’s just not worth it. The worst part of high movement is how bad the map designs become because unnecessary elongation of maps to accommodate movement. The negatives outweigh the positives of H5.

I don’t say thruster pack or jet pack have to recame in every playlist, but it can appear in special playlist or special map where every player have it for example.

I’m agree they broke the game, but they’re not the only things who broke the game. An unique powerful vehicule in a map broke the game for the team who don’t have it. The laser spartan broke the game when you are strike down without know from where that come from or have the chance to escape.

Choosing equipment from spawn isn’t unbalanced since every player can chose the equipment he want

If you feel that way than you don’t actually like Halo for what it use to be, you like Halo for the hollow shell of it became when it introduced many of the god awful additions you mentioned. Halo has always been about scavenging the map for better weapons and equipment.

They do not need to return as anything but the equipment they will be returning as.

Doesn’t need it. All it felt like was a cheap way to avoid getting killed. Was just as annoying as ground pound.

Checked your Waypoint game stats. Smurf accounts don’t get a voice in this. So do us a favor and keep you “opinions” and veiled insults to yourself.

YES !! thrusters need to come back even if it’s just a quick evade thrust especially for when vehicles are baring down on you with that really tiny radar. Need something for that. And please not as a pick up. Far too many pick ups already (I mean, the ones currently are good) But everyone needs thrusters. Thrusters good. Thrusters for all !

Not sure where I insulted you but the fact is that Halo 5 was not as popular as previous Halo games, it had nothing to do with getting used to Spartan abilities it’s just that most people don’t like them as they had to much of a negative affect on the rest of the gameplay and map design. Maps needed to be bigger and aim assist and bullet magnetism had to be turned up to compensate for the faster movement. You can like the Halo 5 for the Spartan abilities but the fact remains that the majority don’t which is why we’re seeing the change.

I’m going to be blunt and give this one a hell no. Coupled with the inconsistent aim problem, the evading in Halo 5 was one of the reasons I quit playing the game.

If this is how you are going to act then do the fandom a favor and keep your opinions to yourself, the fact any of you think they can implement halo 5’s movement when they’re so close to release and despite the majority clearly disliking the “advanced movement” you lot still seem to think they can just slide it in.

“There are large groups who never gave H5 the chance and have been playing H3 or ODST exclusively for the past few years” Oh…

Halo never was about running and flying around the maps like CoD, slide canceling everywhere. Hell, even now you still pretty much got what you wanted, but as usual, its never enough. -Yoink!- if you do -Yoink!- if you don’t ig but oh yeah, its definitely just people shlucking off Halo 3 and ODST.
Finally I utterly despise that attitude of yours where you think we disliked the movement system because we just played and worshiped halo 3/ODST or the bungie games, or whatever goalposts you wanna shift it to.
I grew up with Halo, what in the hell makes you think I didn’t give halo 5 a chance? And don’t say the “majority probably didn’t” 'cause thats a load of bricks, people weren’t just going to overlook Halo 5 after all the promotional material.

PS. Inb4 this gets removed or you, Solo check my game stats and ____

Please no, I hate the gameplay of Halo 5. Infinite needs to tone down enhanced mobility even more !
