Vehicles like the Locust, Wolverine and Hornet could and should make a return in Halo 5.
Also we could add the Vulture, which could act like the pelican to transport troops and also shoot rockets.
And what about the Cyclops? Maybe that could make a return.
All in all I think this would make multiplayer very exciting.
The Cyclops was a non-combat vehicle repurposed for combat, and the Mantis is basically the combat version of the Cyclops anyway, so I wouldn’t get my hopes up for that. The rest… Probably not the variations on the UNSC tank theme, as the Scorpion is more than enough for multiplayer. Plus, the Grizzly was custom-built by Sergeant Forge, and I believe the Cobra was decommissioned due to cost anyway.
The Hornet I always disliked. It felt kind of small and dinky. The Falcon was great, though. I’d much prefer that.
The covenant vehicles, I have no clue.

I liked both hornet and falcon, the hornet was a great vehicle to counter the banshee becuase it only needed one person ,and the falcon inspired teamwork. I woulf like to see them both return.
I guess vulture would be op, nerfing it wouldn’t fit then either.
Mostly the locust as a counterpart to the mantis, if it stays.
Locusts, Cobras and Vampires are the most interesting possibilities; counter-vehicles would add a whole new level to Big Team.
In battlefield like environments and large scale gameplay, this is all welcome and cool. But that is not what 343 should be focusing on.
Sorry, never played Halo Wars so I don’t really know the vehicles that well.
But I have to say, recent iterations of the Scorpion have felt more like mobile artillery than a proper tank. I’d like to see a bigger, tougher, more powerful version of the Scorpion, something with countermeasures, AA missiles, EMP defense… a real heavy duty machine.
My guess is this might be the Grizzly? But I don’t know. It’s definitely something unheralded in Halo, and probably too powerful for a multiplayer that doesn’t have other, more durable and powerful vehicles.
Yes !! Im foaming from the mouth just thinking of the Grizzly, yea it might be OP but just put it in Campaign. Just imagine a column of Grizzlys thundering along a desert towards a covie army with Sparrow Hawks flying support. A bit like this actually but with the final Grizzly design.
They should definitely bring in more vehicles to the sandbox in Halo 5, the more variation the better, because some vehicles would be better on some maps than others.
Also the things that could be powerful like the cobras or grizzlies could still be used in campaign, custom games and BTB Heavies if they’d be too overpowered for general multiplayer.
I’d still like to see vehicles like the vulture being included even if you cant use them, just to see them fight in a FPS game.
Who Knows, they may even increase the population limit and create massive battlefield maps with powerful vehicles.
i liked flying the pelican in halo 4 but it wasnt all that amazing, esp for extra players with the turret on top/side guns being useless due to the firing arc. i think it would have been far more epic to have had the vulture instead. a grizzly mission would be awesome too, really make the player feel like a boss for a while. id love it if all these the vehicles were in forge too, so we can mess around with them tho they might be too op or large for actual matchmaking.
Let’s hope 343 put these ideas on the game…
Just curious, if this is a thread meant to request Halo Wars vehicles in Halo 5, why bring up the Hornet? Do you not mean the Hawk? Which, you know, appeared in Halo Wars?

Forge did build the Grizzlys but the UNSC and ONI still have data on what he accomplished and have been able to build their own, as seen in Spartan Assault
I would love to ride in/Pilot a vulture, even if it’s just in campaign. Lest get a fully functioning pelican in MP first.
Why is the Vulture so popular? It would be another Mantis - slow and cumbersome to pilot, overpowered in combat and generally a boring addition. It wasn’t even a good unit in Halo Wars.

It’s the UNSC’s Aerial equivalent of the Scarab. It’s like the relationship between the Scorpion and the Wraith.

Except the Vulture was even more useless than the Scarab in Halo Wars, and isn’t classic like the Scarab because it’s never been in any other games. I don’t understand why it’s getting any votes.

More useless than the Scarab? Are you implying the Scarab was useless in Halo Wars?
Something doesn’t need to be ‘classic’ to be popular, most of the vehicles requested here aren’t classic, this is really about asking for vehicles that were just in Halo Wars to return for Halo 5.
It looks cool, it would help people who want to see a larger sense of scale, more and larger vehicles, and bigger maps in the next game. Even if it was garbage in Halo Wars, that doesn’t mean it can’t be good, fun, and balanced in Halo 5.
I have been playing Halo wars lately as I can’t stand playing Halo 3 with my terrible internet.
No one of these vehicles fits into 8 vs 8. There are just too few vehicles on the map and just too few people. There is no reason to add a wolverine because of the 1 banshee that spawns every 3 minute, 3 times a game. The sole purpose of wolverine is to shoot aircraft. It’s the same with the cobra - no point.
If the player cap was increased to 60 (which I am against), then we are talking. We could have 2 hornets, 2 tanks, 1 cobra and 1 wolverine per team.
Also If anyone wanna play halo wars invite me: IGM David
I am trying to get my 50 there.

There are a number of ways that could make it work. 8v8w/plentyofAI, 16v16, 16v16w/someAI, etc.
Basically, there have been many ideas on how to make infantry and larger vehicles work together on much larger than normal maps, and most place the player cap around 32 max. It wouldn’t replace BTB and shouldn’t tear resources away from 4v4, so I don’t see a problem with it.
