Ah No, the game has evolved. I have loved them all,H4 is way better as far as game mechanics and has come a long way from H2 days. You can’t expect any company to just re-release a game that has been done before. If you want nostalgia get an original XBox and LAN it up…

Don’t forget 343i did do Halo CE Anniversary. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did Halo 2 remastered considering that game was the pinnacle of first person shooters. Halo 2 was the game that brought online famous.
Yeah and sorry Halo 2 all though awesome for its time did have OP weapon Cough BR Cough Also cheats lots of cheats for very flawed leveling system due that made it almost impossible to get past high 30s.
I loved Halo 2 and it is my favorite MM experience, but I wouldn’t want to go back to it. I’m glad they changed things and are keeping the experience fresh. Should there be a classic playlist? Absolutely. But I enjoy getting ordinances and think it adds a lot to the game as a whole.

Halo 3 BR was more powerful than Halo 2s BR. Don’t forget that it was the original Xbox so it really didn’t have a proper justice system. But the leveling system was very good and challenging to do. I did in fact make it to 37 legitimate.
I agree with the whole aspect of game evolution, but there is a point where it can evolve too much,to a point where it’s a completely different game altogether!
In my opinion, the game has become too much like Call of Duty, with the load outs, and the abilities and the ordnance and being put into games which have already begun.
343 have said that they have made the game so that everyone can play it. Although, those players who may be better than the rest, are rewarded with ordnance weapons and boosts. Which isn’t exactly fair…
If i wanted to play Call of Duty, i’d have bought call of duty.

Yes i’m not denying that it was good and i too enjoyed it very much i also go to high 30’s 36 or 37 ish i think just saying getting past that was almost impossible because 9/10 games you’d get thrown into a game with a modder which kind of ruined it still fun nonetheless. Also even if the Halo 3 BR was more powerful than the Halo 2 BR doesn’t mean the Halo 2 BR was any less OP depends on the weapons in the game and how they balanced them as a whole which wasn’t that well really.

That was the annoying part yes but when it was a legitimate match. It was very awesome. I don’t see how the BR in Halo 2 was overpowered. Dual-Wield crushed it if the player was close enough. Plus the Sniper Rifle flattened the BR for long ranges.
No halo 2 was unbalanced and broken but was fun.(Not more than 4,Halo 4 isn’t fun or competitive. Well abit fun) but halo 3 improved on halo 2’s gameplay and made and balance AND FUN AND COMPETITIVE!!!
The purpose of a new game is that its new, not the same thing year after year. If we wanted that then we could just call it Call of Duty. Games have to evolve or they get stale and I think 343 did a good job, but there are certain things that need fixing or shouldn’t have been implemented in the first place. Everyone who is complaining that we need Halo 2 gameplay back needs to take a step back and look at all the issues that Halo 2 had. It was a great game, but games can’t stay the same together. Also, I’m sure most people who are complaining that we need Halo 2 gameplay back weren’t playing it before the servers went down. Now I know there are exceptions, but I’m willing to bet there are few.

> TO YOINK! WITH HALO 4’S “CODIFIED” GAMEPLAY!!!
I’m just going to facepalm… Halo 2 had a lot of strategy’s that didn’t solely rely on the BR. Close Range: Shotgun > Dual Wield > BR > Sniper. Medium Range: BR > Sniper > Dual Wield. Long Range: Sniper > BR.
You had Noob combo but it wasn’t difficult to dodge it. Carbine also evenly matched against the BR. A lot of the weapons were evenly set out to their systems. They all had flaws and advantages in Halo 2.
