Halo infinite looks like a home run, but halo 5 cortana was ugly af! Just want to remind 343 that we want the old cortana looks back! Keep her 5’7" height (I guessed the height) though.
Very unlikely, as Cortana is no longer who she once was. Sucks I know, but that’s where the story has gone.
I don’t like how Halo 5 handles Cortana. This is not a rare or particularly interesting perspective, but it’s mine. That said, that’s the story we have – and with that story being what it is, Cortana’s imperious, Forerunner-influenced design tells you everything you need to know about that character. And at this point it would be poor continuity. Not that Cortana couldn’t make the decision to change her appearance once more, only that it would undermine the narrative punch of that reveal at the end of Halo 5. Infinite has to be a proper sequel to Halo 5, unfortunately, and as such it has to work with the constraints that Halo 5 gave it.
You really are only seeing their avatar. The Ai itself can choose to look like anything, BB chooses to look like a black box when in reality it’s blue and he gets annoyed at trying to explain that his avatar lighting technology can not project black light. That being said nothing is stopping nor limiting Cortana from changing appearances from CE-5 all in one cutscene.
Outside of the game lore and onto into a design choice, Cortana will look different. There hasn’t been two halo games where she looks the same, and in HI I’ll bet that she will have a brand new look if she shows up at all.
