Bring back Firefight!

I want to start off by saying that I have been a Halo fan since Combat Evolved, and I was really hoping that 343 would be able to live up to Bungie’s reputation. Unfortunately in Spartan they did not meet the bar for quality. The gameplay is repetitive and boring, the plot is virtually nonexistent with very corny dialogue, there are virtually no consequences for death, and I do not feel at all motivated while playing it.

I would really like to either see them drastically change the story and make it somewhat compelling, or just bring back firefight. Actually, they should just bring back firefight in a DLC.

Complete agreement.

Well said.

Firefight was boring and repetitive, as for spartan ops it actually has a story. It just started give it time. All you people expect it to be perfect when it has just came out. Relax.

Okay, so Spartan Ops, which gives us more missions that just kill the Covenant is boring and repetitive?

At least there is more than one objective to SpOps, other than maybe protecting a generator (or a few). It’s an improvement over Firefight, and is longer than ODST campaign, so I’ve heard.

I hate both, but if I had to choose one I’d go with Firefight.
At least FF actually seemed replayable. S.O. is just boring, I beat the first mission and gave up on it.

A-men

Am enjoying Spartan Ops. But loved Firefight too, would rather just have both.

343i left a lot of things out. I’m all for adding new game types, but why take anything out?

This exact same sentence can be applied to Firefight. Though with added repetition in Firefights case.

Horde modes out stayed their welcome long ago.

Almost everyone is here.

Firefight Was way more boring being stuck in a small enclosed maps.

Play Halo 4 campaign, you won’t get any compelling story from these guys as they are new characters which don’t have the time for personal character development.

No Firefight with Spartans Never work.

It was a tough choice but I think I like firefight better. That doesn’t mean I don’t like spops though.

Can’t they both just get along?
I just want an offline kill-em-all.
I mean, I like Spartan Ops, I really do, It’s just that it requires gold that gets to me. I always loved killing wave after wave of countless enemies until everyone is dead with my friends in a room, and they love it too, and if it is possible, I would love to have Firefight back up.
And I wouldn’t mind if they put up an objective every now and then, like plant the bomb, steal the Intel and yes, protect the generator.

Could they do it?
