Halo: Infinite should have firefight, and the flood. There should also be a flood version of firefight, or maybe a specific map that has flood as its gimmick. I just felt like not having flood in firefight was such a missed opportunity. Fighting increasing large waves of flood with your pals? Sign me up!
Agreed. Infinite should totally bring Firefight back. But if anyone remembers Reach, there is a way to change the waves to your own liking. That should be how we get flood firefight.
Bringing back both the Flood and Firefight, would be awesome. I think the reason they might be silent on the Flood, is that they want it to be a surprise.
yes, I’ve been wanting firefight since Reach. Spartan Opps was meh, Warzone is fun, but if I had to pick I’d prefer firefight. Flood is so well suited for firefight that it’s almost embarrassing that it was never implemented. (other than the fact that flood and FF have never been in the same game)
Flood Firefight has been a dream for a long time. 343 please, this would be incredible for infinite.

I wholeheartedly agree that both the Flood and Firefight should return! The true firefight, not Warzone Firefight.
You know, speaking of Warzone Firefight, if support for Halo 5 wasn’t almost non-existent, I would have suggested a new, special Warzone Firefight map that is flood themed, has the flood as the enemies, and comes with a unique new announcer: the Gravemind. Too bad that can never happen now.

I’m sure Infinite will have Firefight or at least a gamemode similar to it. As for the Flood, they HAVE to come back. They likely chose to set the game on Zeta Halo for a reason, and most of the big events on the ring were Flood related.

Seriously though, 343 has made it pretty obvious that they want to make their own game. You may notice that they have not created a game with the flood yet (ignoring Halo Wars here, it is a different game entirely), nor have they made a game with Firefight (they have done their own versions of the PvE modes, but most would agree that these modes are far from the spirit of Firefight. You will most likely be upset if you are “…sure Infinite will have Firefight…” unless you consider Warzone to be similar.
Personally I would be surprised if the Flood is in Infinite, but with each 343 game release we are fighting a different enemy, which just feels like 343 is trying anything they can to find a enemy that connects with players like the original trilogy did. So, I could be wrong; maybe they will bring back the flood in the hopes that it strikes a chord.
