I’ve been a fan of Halo since Halo: CE and have played each game to the end. Every time a new release was in the near future, I would get hyped and go back to playing the older games, become part of the forum chats and, of course, view my old file share from previous games. The other day, I went to view my old file share videos (Halo 4 this time) and they were only available to download to the Xbox. When did they change it to where you couldn’t watch the video on your PC (or Mac - Respectively)? Excuse me if I am late to this, but I have been absent from gaming for a few months since I became a student. Are they planning to bring it back? I’d really like to watch my older videos, as well as other players videos, etc.
Add it to the queue of things they need to finish and release this year.
I started a thread on something like this. Basically they have gotten rid of content being stored locally and welcomed in the “online only” age. And this is totally not necessary. It is sad,

I couldn’t agree with you more.
I really miss taking screenshots and showing them to others. I’d really like for them to add that and like a 343 favorites, so that the community can be a bit more lively. I really hope those that are getting Halo 5 enjoy it, but until then I won’t be picking up this game until the new forge is out or something.

It was great and all, and then people thought it would be cute to start creating drawings of naked women. To no ones surprise, they were always upvoted to the front page of the file browser. Even to this day, they are still there.
Making a community a community is one thing. But when a bunch of bad apples make us look like a community of weeaboos, I’ll pass. There needs to be some serious content filtering in place to prevent that from happening again.
Since we can take clips and screenshots with Xbox itself I see no reason for this to be included in the file share (probably an unpopular opinion).
And since Forge is coming out in December, I can see them adding in File Share with Forge.

agreed I did see a file share option in the warzone menu leak a few months ago
inb4 December release for “pacing”.
They will make it happen. Forge will be massively improved, with a new forge world and other maps made specifically for the community to create their own games, unlike Halo 4 which gave us little. It would be a major mistake and a hit to the community if it did not work properly along with the release of forge.

I was more embarrassed by the social media-like drama that existed in the reach search. Hard to find good pics like in Halo 3 when it was “I AM KING OF REACH AND THIS IS MY CLAN” or “THIS IS BETA32 COMPANY DESTROYING THE WOLVES: Don’t mess with us or we’ll invade your clan baseQ!!!”.
Actually I don’t think I put a second thought to drawings of girls using forge. It was cool to see the talent but not much else. They did waste space though, but less so than others.
We need the File-Share!
I had just taken it for granted that there would be. Do you mean to tell me that there isn’t a file share in Halo 5?
I forge is coming in December, I expect all the file-sharing to be online then.

I’m almost certain that there is going to be a fileshare. There has to be in order for Forge to even work. However, it needs to be improved upon it’s previous iterations. The fileshare in TMCC was garbage… you had to be friends with someone and then find them on the leaderboards just to view their fileshare.
People want the public fileshare to be brought back, where you can upvote peoples projects, and download community favorites from complete strangers like we used to.
