I agree with you. I’ve always liked to play as Elites in Halo, and I was disappointed that they weren’t playable in Halo 4.
It’s possible due to the Arbiter & Locke teaming up, but it’s unlikely.
Hopefully there will at least be a mode similar to invasion/infection where one can play as an Elite.

That’s actually what I said in another thread regarding Elites in Halo 5. They’d be great if something like Invasion returned but not in the beta stuff that we’ve seen.

Exactly in halo reach elites could you Spartan armor abilities so it can’t be that hard to make an elite use them in halo five I think 343 is just trying to make an excuse to not give us what we want or they’re to lazy to take time out of their agenda to give us what we’ve wanted sense halo 4z

Amen to that. If anything I think those two species should be treated as equals. They killed each other, they worked with each other and even made friendship with each other before. Who said’s we can’t bring that all back today?

I love it when replies like these appear, because when they do, it is almost always just saying “only teh sprtens bel0ngz in teh MM’s” without any real explanation as to why they want to omit a huge community from the series. And if they do explain, they only say things like “hitbox issues” or “they were too tall in Reach”, when people fail to realize that the solution is so easy, that it’s ridiculous. Honestly people, think about constructive logic before posting half thoughts like this.
I would love them back. And while they’re doing that give us invasion too.

It would be nice if they followed Halo 3’s Social and Ranked playlists, allowing the Elites to roam free in Social, at least. It lets all your tryhard groups of “em ell gee” players go and romp around in their Ranked playlists without having to see a “goofy” (Oh no! What a calamity!) space dinosaur.

So you are willing to trash many machinima studios, sangheili clans, and even most spartan clans as well as many other groups that use sangheili, just because you find them aesthetically unappealing?

Your right & I should have elaborated why I don’t like the elites.
I also agree that perhaps they could roam social playlists for players who like them.
But yeah I think they look goofy & don’t really like seeing them in mm, but ya know it’s just my opinion.
Yeah, that’s fine, really. I can see why players call 'em goofy. It’s also why I call them space dinosaurs. 
Why? What is a good reason to bring them back? what sort of purpose would they have beside “well we want it so it should happen”?
Because by the way i see it. if they can bring more to the plate and be able to make something else amazing, then why focus time and resources on something that is a sure thing to make people happy when you can impress people with something original?

Because thousands of clans depend on this sole feature, machinima directors need em to make better story arcs, they add aesthetic diversity to the multiplayer, their inclusion offers the potenrial of new gametypes, an update on their appearance can help fan fic writers, it allows an opportunity to expand upon art direction, etc.
