Bring back Dual Wielding in Halo 5?

Am I the only one who misses dual Wielding? I used it in Halo 2 and Halo 3, it was a blast. I hope it comes back in Halo 5, and it’s a shame it wasn’t in Halo 4. Frank O’ Conner said the reason it wasn’t in Halo 4 was due to balancing issues. But in that case, why not just have it Campaign? Balancing is something that is only nessisary in multiplayer, Campaign is just supposed to be fun. The Mantis Mech isn’t balanced in Campaign, it’s overpowered, but still fun. I don’t see what would be wrong with the return of Dual Wielding. It adds more fun and gameplay opertunities. If it cant fit in Halo 5’s multiplayer, there is no reason for it not to be in Halo 5’s campaign. It’s a shame it wasn’t in Halo 4, but nothing can be done about it now. What are your thoughts?

Depends on what you can duel wield.

If I can hold a flag and a magnum, why can’t I hold 2 pistols?

Why are you people voting “No”? explain yourselves! Back up your claim!

No thanks, I’d rather have a magnum with a 2x that is actually usable in combat.

Well the Halo 4 Magnum was usless and weak, but if it could be dual wielded, it would would be more usefull, dont you agree?

Tell that to 343i

Plenty of people would disagree with you. The M6H’s fast rate of fire allows players to quickly finish off an opponent, granted that they land six out of the eight shots.

I’ve heard of several players who use the primarily the Magnum in Halo 4.

Id rahter it not come back. Im happy with what weve had for Reach and Halo 4. I dont want it back simply becaus ei dont feel like getting screamed at for using it like i was in Halo 2 and 3. The game play is alot better with out it. Its only a small map benifit

I dont see any reason dual-wielding shouldnt come back. Although I was never too fond of it, it really did add some more variety.

hated duel wielding. Ive always preferred using one weapon.

Considering it’s large bloom,
incredibly weak damage,
non-dual wieldablility,
and the same rate of fire as the reach magnum,

I’d say it’s the weakest weapon in Halo History.
It basically does the same damage as the ODST pistol,
except it dosent fire nearly as fast as the ODST pistol.

I loved dual wielding. If it comes back i’d be ecstatic.

Why? It’s a fun option for those who want to use it, plus they can be creative and make thier own combination of weapons to use against enimies, it adds to stratagy and makes Halo more than just blind shooting.

Yes Dual wielding never hurt anyone in the first place and to get rid of it was just a bad move.

But it allows for creativity! You can dual wield a Plasma Pistol (PP) and an SMG! You can use the PP to take down shields, and finish em off with the SMG. Or mix what ever you want! It opens possibilities!

This is completely off topic but do you remember when Halo Reach came out and everyone complained about bloom for months. lolz

I…cannot believe how wrong this post is. Have you used the ODST pistol? It did NOTHING against shielded enemies. NOTHING. You were better off spitting at them. The only saving grace for it was that it carried alot of ammo and had the headshot bonus.

The H4 mag and the ODST or even Reach mag cannot be compared.

No way we don’t need Dual Wielding because most of the Dual Wieldable weapons were not effective on their own unless you Dual Wield them. Plus you can’t Melee without dropping your left handed weapon. When Reach had no Dual Wielding they fixed this probelm by making Weapons that were once dual wieldable like the Plasma Rifle, Spiker, Plasma Pistol and especially the Magnum actually Stronger. And as of right now the game feels more balanced without Dual Wielding.

Agreed.
