the noble and defiant map packs when they came out had playlists just for those dlc maps. now u dont get to play the dlc maps ever unless everyone in a lobby has purchased the maps and has them installed. why not make a dlc playlist and dont give the maps away for free but make the playlist as a way to sell the map packs. we could have the dlc maps playlist and it would breath life back into the game. a least a bit. this is sad. bring back the dlc playlist.
There’s still plenty of “life” in the game; it doesn’t need to be revived. Furthermore, charging for the maps is a huge -Yoink- move after they’ve been available for free download for so long. Free DLC isn’t that common these days and gamers - especially ones with unstable fiscal situations like myself - shouldn’t be taking them for granted when they are.
That said, I agree that there should be a special Playlist specifically for players who’ve downloaded the DLC maps. Of course it also helps to tell all your friends about the free maps so they mighty download them, and they in turn will tell their friends, and so on. Word of mouth can go pretty far and the more people that have downloaded the maps; the less likely you’ll be thrown into a match with someone who doesn’t have them.
The problem with adding more playlists to a dying player base is that it’ll possibly split the community even more. If you want to play DLC more often try convincing people to download the DLC that’s still free to download and search in a playlist that’s still populated.
Also a side note: There is a dlc playlist for anniversary which was the last dlc to be released so it makes sense that would be the last playlist change for dlc.
