Do anything to make Halo more competitive than Reach like it was in Halo 2 and 3.
I honestly think this is one of the few things 343 can do to bring Halo back to the top.

Yes x100. H2 clan system was cool, bring it back. I also like the idea of mottos (someone suggested earlier). What do you think about clan flags or emblems?

Agree with the clans. But wouldn’t a custom game browser dramatically reduce the matchmaking population? Maybe they could have just a few ranked playlists (the main ones ie slayer, objective, mlg, bigteam), and only one unranked playlist (team training from halo 2). That way all of the side games such as snipers and swat could be played via custom games.

It’ll reduce some of it, sure, but I think it would greatly increase the population of overall players. I think there will always be people playing matchmaking, because there are people who care about rank, and I’m assuming armor that’s unlocked through rank.
Not to mention it may be easier, depending on the gametype they want to play. Say you wanted to play Team Slayer. You’d have to browse through individual games in the custom browser, while you could just jump into matchmaking.

I think clans should return but be revamped.A clan leader should be able to bestow custom titles besides peons.Clan playlist should make a return. The biggest thing I would want from clans is the ability to unlock things for a virtual clan HQ.
but none of my friends play halo, and I don’t have time to make an online community of friends to play with regularly. I’ll be a junior next year and I have to get my goals strait
